Iโve loved reading fairy tales about beautiful glass mansions since I was a child, and Iโve always wanted to live in one myself. Although it is not possible to live in the glass castle of my childhood dreams, it is possible to visit one. I discovered a coffee shop called Cafe Yuri that is just as beautiful as the glass castles in my imagination. Stepping into the cafe is like entering a beautiful fairytale mansion.
Cafe Yuri
Incheonโs Ganghwa Island is home to Cafe Yuri. The cafeโs name literally translates to โCafe Glass.โ Despite the basic name, the place is anything but that. The cafe is a multi-story building with long glass windows on every level. It is surrounded by a lovely landscape, a quaint little countryside village nestled between the mountains and the ocean. As a result, it is the ideal site to sit with your loved ones or take off on a self-care escape.
First Impressions

When I first walked in, I was blown away. This was the first time I had seen such a lovely and spacious coffee shop. I assumed the coffee shop would be on the top floor, but I soon learned it was the entire building. I adored the terrace because it was beautifully decorated, and from it, I could inhale the sweet, clean ocean air.

Plus, it was perfectly equipped to ensure maximum safety during the ongoing pandemic. On the terrace, customers were seated in small glass booths with comfortable chairs. It was as if each group of customers was encapsulated in their own display case. In my experience, such beautiful and safe seating areas are hard to come by in Seoul.
Menu
Their menu was so delicious. I ordered their nutella chocolate banana croffles with a vanilla latte. I was in love! The combination of the vanilla latte with the croffles was a match made in heaven. I definitely recommend trying them out. They have to be the best pair of items to try at Cafe Yuri.
Review
Cafe Yuri receives a 4.5 out of 5 rating from me. They deserve such a high rating because the drinks and desserts, as well as the lovely terrace, were all excellent.

The only drawback, in my opinion, was that because the cafe had so many large glass windows, it got pretty chilly. It was difficult for me to sit and enjoy the surroundings for as long as I wanted to. If you are visiting during the winter, I strongly advise you to dress warmly. On warmer days, this place would be beyond 5 stars.
