Exhibitions with various art objects are located not only in Seoul or Busan. To visit one of these places, you can go, for example, to Yeosu. This is a large city in the very south of the Korean Peninsula, where you can do a lot of things and have a great weekend. In this article, I will talk about Yeosu Media Art Pavilion NocteMare (๋ นํ ๋ง๋ ).
About NocteMare
This art pavilion opened relatively recently, less than a year ago (December 2021), but despite this, it has a lot of positive reviews from visitors. According to the description, this art center is the first in Korea with an area of โโ4,700 sq.m. and about 7 meters in height. In total, there are 9 exhibition halls with different themes.

Showrooms at NocteMare
A booklet with information about the exhibition and each hall can be found at the ticket counter. Right after entering, visitors come into the Sunset room with pink color and sand on the floor. The next room is Starry Night it has lots of light bulbs that change color.
Since the mirrors are located opposite each other, it seems that there are even more light bulbs than in reality. After that, there is a Neon Zone with a man playing the guitar. Then, you can go to the Imagine room. Take your time and stay for a while in this hall, because the theme changes every four minutes: Human Land, Little Prince, and Night Flight. You can enjoy the sea landscapes, fields, forests, and waterfalls in Voyage and Timeless. Donโt forget to climb the stairs to the lighthouse in Voyage to see everything from above.

The most popular and fascinating hall is called Jelly. Anybody can enter the ball pool, so it draws most visitorsโ attention. There are so many balls that you can completely drown in them, all the way up to your head. However, you must take off your shoes before entering the ball pool. And also, be sure to take everything out of your pockets so that you donโt have to look in the pool later. The chances of finding anything you lose in there are pretty slim!

What else can you do at NocteMare
In addition to the listed rooms, you can go up to the second floor, where the art gallery is located. In fact, this gallery is very small, and all the paintings are for sale. Therefore, if you wish, you can purchase paintings. Small paintings cost 200,000 Won, while large paintings cost 1,200,000 Won and more.
There is also a cafe. In general, the menu is no different from all other coffee shops, but only there you can go out to sit outside with a picturesque view of the mountains. And also, there are sculptures of the Little Prince and the Fox, which is a smaller copy of the sculpture located in the Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan.
Ticket Price & Address
The tickets cost 18,000 Won. The price is only different for those under 20 or over 65. Also, if you live in Yeosu, Suncheon or Gwangyang, show your ID card. If you are a local, you get a discount upon entry.
