Iโve always been a person who has to do the things that I love. I have always loved learning about the topics that Iโm interested in, but I also strongly disliked being forced to learn about topics I donโt like. And I have always refused to follow a path that is not the one I want to follow. After studying for a year in a local university, I realized that I didnโt feel fulfilled by my major. So, I decided to find an alternative and get my bachelorโs degree in Korea.
Choose What You Want to Study for your Bachelorโs Degree and When!
University in South Korea is very different from what I was used to. Itโs very flexible in terms of choosing what to learn and when.
Something I love about the South Korean university system is that you can choose everything about your courses. You can decide which ones to take, when to take them, how many of them you want to take. This has given me the chance to shape my own academic career. Plus, I get to finish my degree at my own pace.
You do have a number of credits youโll have to take for a certain โareaโ (for example, major required or major elective courses), but you have a lot of options. Isnโt that nice?
University Life Like in the Movies
Another thing that I love about studying in South Korea is that the life of a student is never boring! University clubs are very diverse, from sports to things like gardening or reading. Theyโre a great way to do what you love and also meet people.
There are also several university festivals that you will regret not going to!
Active and Affordable Student Life
Lastly, another thing that I love about studying in South Korea are all of the opportunities there are for foreign students. From events to part time jobs and volunteering, you will certainly not regret coming here. South Korea provides students with lots of ways to develop themselves across all areas.
In addition, universities offer a lot of support to foreign students. This includes help with processes such as applying to ARC (Alien Resident Card), making a bank account, and language learning courses.
Many universities also offer tuition scholarships for those who get top grades during their bachelorโs degree studies. Plus, youโll often have the possibility of living in the university dorms, which are really cheap and often offer services such as meal plans, study rooms, gym, etc.
My experience Getting my Bachelorโs Degree in Korea
In conclusion, there are many reasons to choose South Korea as a place to study and get your bachelorโs degree, and I have no regrets! There are so many universities and majors to choose from, so just go for it!
