It is the number one destination for cherry blossom viewing, with stunning tree-lined sights that you will not be able to find in other cities including Seoul. This annual spring festival brings together at least 2 million visitors a year from all over the world and hosts an array of activities and performances for everyone to enjoy. On average, 340,000 cherry trees burst into an ocean of pale pink blossoms, making it one of the biggest concentrations of cherry blossoms in the world. As a matter of fact, Jinhae is warmer hence the cherry blossoms festival starts earlier.
However, it is hard to plan a trip around the cherry blossoms because they are difficult to be predicted. They bloom when the weather gets warmer, and in Seoul, typically happens around mid-to-late April. Hence the exact dates are hard to pin down in order to book some trips to this city of Jinhae. Furthermore, the trees bloom for a very short duration, making it more difficult for people to plan ahead of time. Yet, Jinhae still being the home of the cherry blossoms every year.
Anticipating an earlier spring, we went for a one-day trip in a 2017, about the last week of March. It took about a four-and-a-half-hour bus ride to the South side of the Seoul. Here I am going to share some tips before you start planning for a trip to Jinhae that you can consider.

Since the journey took quite a lot of time, it is better to work the trip out starting from the dawn till dusk. Considering the most visited places are quite far from each other, it is also good to plan the trip well on managing the time to visit each place. You don’t want to miss all of them.
Thirdly, it is advised to learn the route map of the best visited places during cherry blossoms such as the Yeojwacheon Stream, Jehwangsan Park, of course the landmark; Gyeonghwa Station and a lot of more interesting places that you can plan to go to. As noted before, some of the places are quite far from each other that makes it hard to reach nevertheless worth the efforts. Hence plan the journey according to the map is also a good strategy to enjoy the trip well.
Last but not least, never forget to bring your equipment and gadgets to capture every moment that you bet you don’t want to miss every of them.
