Have you ever experienced a spot where you are completely at ease and donโt want to share it with others? For some people, it can be the library, bars, or even a shopping location. However, for me, itโs coffee shops. The reason I want to keep certain places a secret can be due to various facilities, such as good seating and charging ports being limited. After much hesitation, I would like to share with you my personal favorite coffee shops.
Dongrak Coffee
The first coffee shop I would like to introduce is Dongrak Coffee. It is a hidden coffee shop located in a quiet residential area. What made this coffee shop stand out from others was its ominous, sophisticated dรฉcor, which included dark wood tones. I was impressed by how skillfully they merged vintage and contemporary. I would undoubtedly advise going there to read alone or to meet your parents for a quick drink.
Their in-depth understanding of filter brewing impressed me tremendously. I enjoyed how they would assist you in selecting the finest coffee based on whether you want yours to be bitter or sweet. Additionally, I liked that they had unique dessert options like butterscotch japones, and cranberry and walnut scones.

Morphe Coffee
The second coffee shop I would like to introduce is Morphe. I initially found the coffee shop online and made the decision to stop by because it reminded me of the cosmetic company of the same name. I anticipated the store would be quite big but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it is a small, one-person roastery cafe. Despite the size, I really like the elegant interior design that not only made the place look spacious, but also warm.
As for the drinks, although itโs simple the presentation is super aesthetic. I personally thought their Hoji Tea and Cappuccino were the best Iโve had in a long time. In addition, all the drinks are super affordable costing around 4,000 won to 5,000 won and you can even get a 1,000 won discount if you order it as to go.

Paint Coffee
The third place I would like to introduce is Paint Coffee. The storeโs fascinating history was one of the things I enjoyed the most. I had no idea that the location had once been a 30-year-old kalguksu restaurant. Even the thought of it made me reflect on the past. Undoubtedly, it is a fantastic place to go if you want to enjoy exquisite drinks and brunch while soaking in the coziness of the woods.
Another selling factor of the store was its amazing selection of meals. My personal favorites were the grilled shrimp, ham and egg croissant, and mushroom and steak. Which were all less than 10,000 KRW. Which is a fantastic deal as it would cost much more elsewhere.
