I recently went to the Immigration Office due to some paperwork I needed to do. Near the Sejong Branch Immigration Office, which is located at 38 Jongro Jongno-gu, Seoul. I took the subway and hopped off at Jonggak station, on Line 1. I walked towards exit 5 and found an amazing underground place that looked not only very beautiful but also peaceful.
Finding Paradise Near Sejong Branch Immigration Office
There were people reading books and enjoying the view โ which was mesmerizing. The cool contrast between the underground and the greenery was breathtaking. Since I didnโt have much time, I made a mental note to go back.
Visit YP Books
And then, I found another paradise, right next to exit 5. It was a bookstore. And, you know me, I am a sucker for all things stationery and books. So, I also made a mental note to check it out after my appointment.

Coming back, I was so excited to see what the store had to offer. It made my hands tingle in anticipation. I walked inside, feeling like a kid on Christmas day. The bookstore, Yeongpoom, was filled with not only books, but stationery, clothes, and more. The amount of stuff I wanted to buy was not healthy for my budget. So, I ended up bringing home a poetry book and some stationery โbecause I just couldnโt help myself. If itโs pretty, I need it.ย

They do have an online store, you can check it out by Clicking Here. The amazing part about this store is that they sell books to learn Korean, so if you are preparing to take the TOPIK, I absolutely recommend you go on the website and find a book that suits you and helps you unlock your potential.
Relax in the Beautiful Garden
I walked to the beautiful garden I had found and sat there. And it sunk. I am really here, in South Korea, in a breathtaking underground garden, reading a book. The moment was so filled with emotion since it has already been a year, that my eyes teared up a bit.

The garden is only one of the many things you can see in that area. But, I really encourage you to stop by, since it is a scenery that you will not get to see very often. The address is Jongno 1(il)-ga, Jongno-gu, Seoul (Jonggak Station, Line 1, walking towards exits 1, 5, or 6). The address in Korean is: ์์ธํน๋ณ์ ์ข ๋ก๊ตฌ ์ข ๋ก1๊ฐ.
