I love croffles! It is also a hobby of mine to scope out new cafés! All this time, there were two cafés in my area that had the best croffles I have ever tasted in my life. Let me introduce to you the two of the best café’s in Sagajeong based on their vibes, view, and croffles.
EEFFOC: Woodland Cottage Vibes and Tasty Croffles

EEFFOC is one of those cafés that locals flock to during the weekends to chill and hang out with friends and family. One thing that differentiated it from the other cafés in the area was its decor. It had a very cozy woodland-fairy-tale-like vibe to it. The café’s name was interesting too. It is the word “coffee” spelled backward. How clever!

When I first stepped into the store, my eyes widened in surprise and a rush of excitement jolted through my body. Right in the center of the store, were trinkets such as; incense, incense holders, handmade soy candles, organic soaps, and more. As a practitioner of the craft, I made a beeline for the incense. My sights quickly landed on this beautiful gold elephant incense holder. I thought it was perfect for my prosperity altar I was in the process of building and nearly jumped in excitement. However, before I could purchase it, there was something else of importance that I had to attend to – The Croffles!
Our Order at EEFFOC
We placed our order and waited impatiently for them to arrive. My husband ordered the Einspänner Coffee, as he loved it, and a Plain Croissant with Whipped Cream. As for me, I had to order their specialty Croffles with Ice Cream, Honey, and Brown Cheese. I paired it together with Peach Oolong Tea to compliment the sweetness of the croffle. The plain croissant was buttery and perfectly baked. The whipped cream was sweet enough to compliment the baked goodie.

As for the croffle, I did not expect it to be that fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Pure perfection! Also, the brown cheese blended so well with the honey and vanilla ice cream, which was a surprise. I guess cheese does go well with everything! We gobbled it up within seconds and even thought of purchasing one more before heading home. Unfortunately, the store was about to close. So, sadly, we did not have enough time for anything else.
Thoughts on EEFFOC

I found it to be a refreshing place that I could go to by myself just for tea. Or, to buy more incense holders, wind chimes, and organic soaps. If you’re like me and want to visit a café where you can enjoy a delicious croffle or buy some incense, please give EEFFOC a try!

Oksang Café: Croffles with a View!

Next up on the list is the Oksang Café! The café is located on the two top floors of a building. On the fourth floor, you will find the entrance to the minimalistic café just beyond a glass door. Since this is where the main part of the café is, ordering food and drinks can be done here. The fifth floor is where the rooftop is located. However, we decided to save the best for last and fill our tummies first before heading up.
Our Order at Oksang Café

We ordered the Croffles and two drinks; Hibiscus Tea for me and Strawberry Yogurt for my husband. In Oksang Café, they serve their croffles with honey, whipped cream topped with powdered sugar, and cinnamon. My husband preferred the croffles at Café Ipokeu, but for me, the croffles at Oksang Café were just how I liked them. Simple and sweet.
The croffle was just the right balance of fluffy and crispy. The whipped cream was not too sweet, and the cinnamon added the perfect touch! I tried to leave the very last piece for my husband but I could not help myself. The Hibiscus tea was also well-made. Hibiscus tea can be extremely sour if done wrong, but Oksang Café made it just right. The Strawberry yogurt was also light and refreshing. Not too sweet or over-diluted.
The Fifth Floor: The Rooftop View

Now, remember I said it was a café with a view? Well, on the fifth floor of the café, lies their rooftop. You can climb up the stairs to get to the rooftop or just take the lift. I personally like taking the stairs as a form of exercise. When we arrived, I was stunned by the view. It was sad that we went during the daytime, it would have looked super gorgeous at night!
It was relaxing and breathtakingly beautiful. The decor was simple, but the view was the main attraction. My husband said we should have had our food and drinks up here instead, to relax and enjoy the view of the city. Since we went during the daytime, there was nobody on the rooftop that day. That, and we went during the monsoon season.
Luckily for us, we were alone, just basking in the view and the sun. It was peaceful and quiet. A nice time to just relax and clear our minds. Just as we were leaving, it started to drizzle a little. We considered ourselves fortunate enough to be able to enjoy it while it lasted.
Thoughts on Oksang Café?

If you love rooftop cafés and croffles or just want to enjoy the city view, I suggest trying Oksang Café out! I also encourage you to check them out in the evening time, the view of the city is always the prettiest at night!
