Taco Bell

TacoBell is an American chain of fast food restaurants first opened in California and was founded in 1962 by Glen Bell. These restaurants serve a variety of Mexican foods that include tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos.

After it became hugely famous in America, TacoBell restaurants opened door to Asian market. As for an example in South Korea, the first TacoBell chains opened at two locations in Seoul: Itaewon and Hongdae districts. These are districts which attracts lot of foreigners and college students of Yonsei, Hongik or Ehwa universities.

Basically TacoBell on Korea has special kimchi quesadillas that combines the fermented Korean dish with typical TacoBell cheesiness and spicy chicken. However, this menu because the dish is not on menus in the US. The dish represents Taco Bell’s attempt to “localize” menus as the chain expands internationally.

TacoBell I went is located at Sinchon Station. There are a lot of Mexican food restaurants in the area. But Taco Bell was a good one to go. Moreover it was not hard to find cause of comfortable and famous location.

How to get to Taco Bell Sinchon Branch

TacoBell restaurant on Sinchon is located around Yonsei University. The easiest and cheapest way is by subway.

There is subway station close to the cafe. The most direct subway station is Sinchon Station ( Seoul Subway Line 2, Exit 3 ). Take the exit 3 and walk 358m straight from the subway station

However, since TacoBell is located on Sinchon district you can use buses. There are several buses that go to TacoBell restaurant.

By bus: 110B, 604, 740, 753, 6716, 7016, 7613, 마포13,14 – Get off at 신촌역 Bus Stop.

Inside Taco Bell Sinchon Branch

This TacoBell on Sinchon looks very interesting with special interior inside and two floors.

Usually you can order and eat inside, but due to virus situation it will be safer with takeout. Inside on the first floor there are kiosks that has menu in Korean and English.
