Every season in South Korea has its own unique charm. Beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring, vibrant autumn colors, and a snow-filled winter reminiscent of Narnia. How about the summer?
Although some may believe that summer is one of the worst times to visit Korea due to the high temperatures that can reach 40 degrees Celsius and the heavy rain, there are some activities that can only be done in the summer. A 2D1N trip to Gapyeong is one of the best summer activities in Korea.
If you watch Korean reality shows like Running Man, you’ve probably seen a water park in one of its episodes. It’s essentially an inflated water park with motorized water activities. Water Leisure V offers a variety of passes and packages, including the entry ticket alone, the three rides ticket, the three-hour unlimited, the full day unlimited, the 2D1N package, and others.
The 2D1N package costs 95,000 KRW per person (minimum of four people) and includes accommodation, a free flow BBQ supper with unlimited soju, and unlimited water rides for one day. On top of the inflated slides and obstacle course, there are approximately 8 to 10 motorized water rides.
Take the ITX train from Seoul’s Yongsan Station to Gapyeong Station. You can take a taxi from Gapyeong Station to the water park or arrange to be picked up by the company where you booked your package.
