Have you ever visited any of the Starbucks cafes in Seoul or South Korea? As the cafe culture became one of the mainstream in South Korea, cafes like Starbucks can be seen anywhere. And when I was in Malaysia, I didn’t really drink that much Starbuck coffees because it is extremely expensive when compared to normal drinks. But, when I came to South Korea, my mindset changed dramatically. I noticed that Starbucks in South Korea is not really expensive compared to other coffees at cafes in South Korea.
It might because the standard price of Starbucks coffees and living expenses in South Korea is quite high. So, it makes no much difference when it comes to Starbucks coffees. And I had seen quite a lot of Starbucks cafes in South Korea and I would like to introduce to you one of the most prettiest Starbucks cafes that I had seen in Seoul.
- Address: 205, Sapyeong-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul
- Transportation: Subway Line 3, Express bus terminal station (고속터미널) Exit 4
- Operation: 07:00-23:00
You had reached!
Yes, it is the one named Starbucks Famille Park. Once you get out from exit 4, you can see it just beside the JW Marriott Hotel. And it is not hard to find it too since the exterior is a geometric glass dome structure reflective of urban Seoul. When you enter the cafe, you can see the interior features like floors, walls, pillars, chairs, and tables are all made of wood.
The most special thing in the cafe is there is a big atrium in the middle. At there, you can see the Starbucks envelopes around the center and the escalator going down to other parts of the mall. I personally think that is the most pretty spot if you wish to take photos there. The cafe itself is really big and fancy.
Not many seats available
But! Yes, there is a but. The place is big but there are not many seats as expected. And even there are enough seats, they are always occupied and it is impossible for you to get a seat when you visit it during weekends or public holidays. I visited the cafe during the last public holidays and I waited for almost an hour and there were no seats available too.
How about the drinks?
For the beverages, it is actually the same as other Starbucks cafes. The prices and the menu are all the same and it is nothing much special about it. There is an escalator in the middle of the Starbucks where you can go down to other sections of the buildings.
Anyway, it is a great place for you to visit if you are a Starbucks favorite. And if you wish to visit there with your friends, it is also strongly recommended for you to visit it during weekdays and avoid peak hours.
