Spring is finally here! The weather is getting warmer and the flowers are blooming! After spending months locked indoors because of the cold, itโs time to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. Here are 3 of my favorite spring activities to enjoy in Seoul!
Frolic in Fields of Tulips
Every spring, my entire Instagram feed is full of tulip fields. But, I am not complaining. In fact, I absolutely love me some colors! If you too want to admire the rainbow tulip fields, one of the best spring activities in Seoul is to visit the tulip fields at Seoul Forest around Seongsu-dong.
If youโre interested in learning more about what the park has to offer, you can check out the article below.
Besides Seoul Forest, another popular spot for Tulips is Everlandโs Four Seasons Garden in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is said that this garden has over 1.2 million tulips of all paterns and colors. As pictures speak louder than words, hereโs a picture of this wonderful garden.
Doesnโt it look like a fantasy world? Everland usually hosts the Tulip festival every year from March to April. This year it is from Mar 26 ~ Apr 30, 2022. Of course, due to the pandemic, visitors have to maintain social distancing rules and wear a mask while visiting.

Picnic in Peace
Who doesnโt love picnics? Finding a spot in the shade near the river with a view of Namsan tour is my idea of a perfect afternoon. Who doesnโt love eating ramen, chicken and ddeokbokki (my personal favs), playing games, and laughing all afternoon. As you can see from the description, I am a picnic fanatic!
Lately i have been seeing a new picnic trend where you rent the perfect aesthetically pleasing picnic set.
Isnโt it lovely? Looks perfect for a date. They give you the classic picnic mat with a cute basket and of course food! However, even if you donโt have a partner a picnic is also nice for a girlsโ day!#Girlsjustwannahavefun
I did some research to save you some time, the prices vary from 20,000 to 30,000KRW and they have different sets for instance the red mat or you can choose the pastel pink one. You can contact them through their instagram and make a reservation through Kakaotalk.
Cruise Down the Han River
Good weather = cruising weather!
Luckily Seoul city has a beautiful cruise that takes you on a pleasant 1 ride cruise along the Hangang River. I highly recommend trying it around sunset time. It makes everything look 100 times better.
For the Eland cruise by the Han river, they offer different types of cruises: story cruise (which I took), music cruise, lunch/dinner cruise, moonlight cruiseโฆ and even a romantic fireworks one.
You can get your tickets at the desk (15,000won for the story cruise) and enjoy a tour around Han river. You can get an amazing view of the city, namsan tour, and the memorial hall while enjoying jazz music and you can even feed seagulls if youโd like.
The timing is flexible, everyday from 1pm to 5pm there is a cruise every hour.
