From August 18 until September 12 you can join in on the pokemon-themed fun at Seoul’s Lotte World Tower! There will be Pikachu parades, Instagrammable displays, and a 7-Eleven that is entirely Pokemon-themed. However, the best part of this Pokemon Festival is that it is a dog-friendly event!
Pikachus!
Pokemon’s most loved monster is without a doubt Pikachu. The electric mouse will be on full display at Lotte World Tower, beginning with a 50-foot inflatable display.
There will also be smaller Picachu statues dotting the grounds around the event. This is ideal for impatient Pikachu fans who would rather skip on waiting in long lines to take pictures with the massive Pikachu. Furry friends are also welcome to pose with the smaller statues as they are located in a dog-friendly area.
The final evolution of the Pikachu display is the Pikachu parade. You may want to hold onto your pups for this one! At scheduled times throughout the event, you will see a few dozen live Pikachus parading around the outside of Lotte World Tower.

But, what if your pup prefers Charmanders over Pikachus? Well, Pikachus aren’t the only attraction at this Pokemon Festival. You (or your dog) can find all of the first-season favorites! There is bad-boy Squirtle, lovable Eeve, sassy Jigglypuff, and more.
In addition to posing with your favorite monster from the series, there are also a number of other photo zones focused on the series and 7-eleven.
Pokemon Festival 7-Eleven Store
The Pokemon Festival is also a great place to go if you are looking for some Pokemon merch. There will be limited free giveaways with your purchase. In addition, rumor has it that there will be some limited edition items on sale. So, if you are a collector, you won’t want to miss this opportunity and show up early!
Each day during the Pokemon festival, the store will operate from 10:00 AM, until 10:00 PM. Some of the free giveaways are limited to a certain number of customers each day. And so, you will want to arrive at the Pokemon festival in the morning if you would like a free collectible gift with your purchase. The store’s free giveaways and events are as follows:
Each day, 711 Pokemon breads will be sold. Purchases are will be limited to 3 per customer. If you spend 30,000 won, you will receive a free tote bag, limited to 3,000 people. Every day, the first 100 customers to participate in the Instagram event will receive a free Pikachu balloon. You can also receive a Pokemon fan until they run out.
