About Rice Flower

Located at the foot of Gyeryongsan

Rice Flower is located right at the foot of Gyeryong Mountain. This mountain lies at the meeting of the boundaries of several cities such as Gongju, Gyeryong, Nonsan and Daejeon. This mountain was named Gyeryong which means “rooster dragon” as its ridge line looks like a dragon wearing the crown of a rooster. It also houses three famous Buddhist temples namely: Sinwonsa, Donghaksa and Gapsa. Rice Floweris just a five-minute walk from Sinwonsa Temple.

Homegrown Ingredients

The difference of Rice Flower to other gourmet restaurant is that most of its ingredients are homegrown. Thus, making its dishes fresh, healthy and delicious.

You can even see the farm where they harvest just near the restaurant.

Rice Flower offers several Korean dishes from their menu. The main dish includes stir-fried pork (돼지숯불볶음), Minari Tteokgalbi (미나리떡갈비), and Cheonnyeoncho Tteokgalbi (천년초떡갈비). On top of that, they provide variety of side dishes and their special tea. In addition, they are also selling beverages such as softdrinks, soju, mekju, makgeolli, sogokju and many more.

True to its name, Rice Flower (밥꽃하나피었네) serves its dishes in a nice plating that makes them look like flowers. They are plated beautifully that you will probably hesitate to eat them at first. Since they are homegrown ingredients, you will taste the freshness of the dishes prepared in your table. And of course, their meal is best paired with with a rice. However, the rice serving is pretty small, well at least for me, because I am a rice person. But other than that, if you are into eating healthy and authentic Korean cuisine, then this restaurant is recommendable.

Price

The price of dishes at Rice Flower ranges from 6,000 to 29,000 Korean won. While their drinks range from 2,000 to 30,000 Korean won.
