Yeongdo-gu (district), Dong-gu and Seo-gu have been designated as the first areas in Busan to pilot the Ministry of Justice’s new visa project. The program will involve issuing F-2 visas to international students who satisfy specific conditions for a designated period in areas with decreasing populations.
Busan Metropolitan City will issue 110 F-2 visas to outstanding local international students. Busan City Hall will cooperate with local universities, the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation (BFIC), Busan Economic Promotion Agency Project, and the Busan immigration office to link current, former, and prospective international students from Busan universities to local companies.
