Do you miss seeing Park Bo Gum in his Korean dramas? Why not visit the filming locations of Record fo Youth, his last Kdrama before enlisting in the military? If you havenโt seen Record of Youth, it is a series with lead stras Park Bo-gum and Park So-dam. It follows their lives as they try to achieve their dreams in the entertainment and beauty industry and falling in love along the way.

If you would like to have a Record of Youth-themed travel to Korea, here is a list of some of its filming locations in Seoul that you can easily visit:
CGV Cheongdam Cinecity

First on this list is the CGV Cheongdam Cinecity in Gangnam. This cinema place was featured in episode 9 of Record of Youth during a press conference for the release of the new movie of Sa Hye-jun (Park Bo Gum) and Won Hae-hyo (Byeon Woo-seok) new movie โNormal Person.โ This scene marks a new beginning for the career of Hye-jun who almost gave up his dream to become an actor and enlist in the military instead.

Moreover, the scene after the presson was seemingly filmed at the private cinema space CGV Cheongdam Cinecity located at 11th floor. CGV is largest multiplex cinema chain in Korea. If you go there, why not try to experience watching a movie in Korea too?

Dongdaemun Design Plaza


Another Record of Youth filming location that you can easily visit is the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). In the episode 1 to 2 of the drama, DDP was featured as the venue for the โHomme Jung Fashion Showโ where Hye-jun and Hae-hyo partake as models. This is also where An Jeong-ha (Park So Dam) meets Hye-jun as his makeup artist. DDP is the most iconic landmark of the Korean design industry in the city. Dongdaemun Design Plaza has staged diverse cultural events including exhibitions, fashion shows, product launch shows, forums, conferences and various cultural events. KB Rockstar Cheongchun Maru

In addition to this list is the KB Rockstar Cheongchun Maru in Hongdae. In the episode 4 of the series, Hye-jun and Jeong-ha meet in this place. KB Rockstar Cheongchun Maru is actually a three-story culture complex owned by KB (Kookmin Bank).

How to get there: Take Seoul Subway Line 2 and get off Hongik University Station, Exit 9. Walk for about 5 minutes.
Kyunghee University (Seoul Campus)



One of the highlights of Record Youth was when Hye-jun attended and an award at the OVN Drama Award in episode 9. That scene was filmed at the Peace Hall of Kyunghee University. It was also very memorable because of the cameo appearance of Park Seo-joon who presented the award to Hye-jun.


On top of that, Kyunghee University also has a special place in the memory of Park Bo Gum and his fans. It is because some of his fan meetings in Seoul were held there like the Oh Happy Day in 2017 and For You to Blossom in 2018. Namsangol Hanok Village

Furthermore, Namsangol Hanok Village also appeared on the last episode of Record of Youth. No spoilers on the ending if you have not seen it yet. Namsangol Hanok Village features restored upper-class hanoks or Korean traditional houses from the Joseon era and a garden with pavilions.

Starfield Library

And lastly, Starfield Library was also featured in the 3rd episode of the series. The famous Starfield Library is located in the center of the Starfield COEX Mall. It is an open public space you can freely sit down and read some books.
