The restaurant Raracost, is an Italian style restaurant, launched in 2011. The principal goal of the franchise, is to offer a lovely place where families can enjoy tasty food, at a reasonable price. The brandโs slogan states: โwelcome everybody!โ. This is why, Raracost focuses on offering menus, enjoyable by people of all ages. The franchise has 122 restaurants nationwide. I went to the branch located in Gongju. Let me tell you why I enjoyed eating there!
A Nice Atmosphere
The restaurantโs decoration is quite sober, but it looks nice. The place has a spacious and bright interior. It also has a playing area for children. So that way, parents can enjoy their food while keeping an eye on their children. The restaurant is vast, therefore allows people who came with friends (or a lover!) to have a table away from the play area. Remember, they welcome everybody!
Tasty Food
As Raracost is an Italian style restaurant. I was eager to taste the pizzas and pasta. I ordered a Margherita pizza (๋ง๋ฅด๊ฒ๋ฆฌ๋ฐ ํผ์), a pizza half double potato (๋๋ธ ํฌํ ์ดํ ํผ์), and half gorgonzola (๊ณ ๋ฅด๊ณค์กธ๋ผํผ์). This pizza comes under the name of Half&Half pizza (ํํ ์ค ํํ ํผ์) . So you can choose two pizzas you want to mix. Lastly, I picked the carbonara pasta (๊น๋ฅด๋ณด๋๋ผ ํ์คํ). I can hear you thinking: โWait did you eat, all of this by yourself?โ No, I actually shared my food with amazing friends, Iโm not that greedy!
Food Review
Margherita Pizza
As you can see the Margherita pizza, the toppings are classic mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, and basilic. The first bite was truly flavorful! The pizzaโs crust was thin, there was not too much tomato sauce, and the sauce was not excessively sweet. The flavors were well balanced. As you may know, it can be sometimes tricky to find โ basic regular pizzaโ in South Korea. You know without corn, not too sweet, or with a nice crust. So I was happily surprised that this pizza, tasted like the ones I ate while visiting Italy!
Half&Half Pizza
Regarding the Half&Half pizza, the part with the double potato pizza has for toppings potatoes, bacon, cheese some aromatic herbs and black olives. Contrary to the Margherita pizza, this pizza was sweeter. However the sweetness was not overwhelming. It was actually really good! I was able to appreciate the different kind of potatoes on the pizza. The gorgonzola pizza has, gorgonzola cheese, and some garlic slices as toppings. This pizza is served with a little cup of honey, where you can dip your pizza slice! It was yummy, I enjoyed it as well, and the taste of the gorgonzola cheese was not strong at all.
Carbonara Pasta
As you can see , there is a lot of sauce with the pasta. Usually, Carbonara pasta does not have that much sauce. However it was delicious. The sauce was creamy, and the pasta well cooked! Letโs not forget to mention the piece of bacon in that sauceโฆamazing. In addition, there were also some cheese on the top of the dish. That was the best part!
Affordable Price
Weโve spent an amount of 36 700 โฉ for these 3 dishes. The Margherita pizza was 11 900 โฉ. The Half&Half pizza was 15 900 โฉ. The Carbonara pasta was 8 900 won. I can say that we enjoyed a particularly good meal at a reasonable price!
