Pusan National University: 3 Restaurants

Pusan National University is considered one of Korea’s best universities with many international students in attendance. The campus is stunning and vast. Not only that, but they have their very own on-campus department store. In the department store and its surrounding area, there are a number of reasonably priced coffee shops and restaurants. As a result, I’d like to introduce you to my top three restaurants near Pusan National University. 

Meal Plan B

Meal Plan B is located within walking distance of Pusan National University. They specialize in burritos. It’s a great place to go if you’re looking for something different from your typical Korean lunch. Personally, I love their variety and the number of different options they have available.

Plus, they don’t take too much time to prepare meals, so it’s really convenient if you don’t have a lot of time. Another aspect of the restaurant that I enjoy is how affordable it is. With just 10,000 won, you can grab a burrito, a drink, and even squeeze in a small side dish. 

Review

Meal Plan B gets a 4 out of 5 from me. I was ecstatic to see a Mexican restaurant in Busan offering authentic and reasonably priced options. n fact, I was surprised at how inexpensive it was, given that similar burritos in Seoul cost much more. I enjoyed the taste of the burrito and would recommend it to anyone looking to take a break from Korean cuisine.

Babjalnam (밥잘하는남자)

Babjalnam is a restaurant with a very witty name. When I first saw the restaurant’s name I couldn’t help but laugh and crack a joke with my friend. The name literally translates to “Man good at cooking”.

While I definitely went to the restaurant based on the name alone, I stayed for the food. One thing I liked about this restaurant was the simple yet delicious meals they served. Again, I was blown away by how cost-effective it was. Not only were the meals cheap but the portions were generous. The dish I had reminded me of home-cooked meals. I can see why it’s so popular among university students.

Review

Babjalnam gets a 3 out of 5 from me. Despite the fact that the lunch was quite inexpensive and provided a great home-style meal. Given that I was on vacation, I would have preferred something a little more distinctive. If I were a student at Pusan National University, though, I would definitely visit at least once a week. It’s not only cost-effective, but it’s also delicious.

Jungjaejib 

Although Jungjaejib is more expensive than the other two restaurants, it is well worth the money. The restaurant’s interior is modest and has a university feel to it. Spaghetti is their specialty. The way they served their cuisine was one of my favorite aspects of this restaurant. It made the food taste a hundred times better. If you are a student at Pusan National University, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s ideal for a date or a get-together with university colleagues, in my opinion.

Review

Jungjaejib gets a 4.5 out of 5 from me. Despite the fact that everything about the restaurant was excellent. If the interior had been a little more put together, I would have given it a 5 out of 5. However, despite the decor, this is still a fantastic restaurant for a quick lunch.
