This is one of the most famous spots for many reasons. There is a beautiful large lake. This lake is surrounded by many cherry blossoms. In the middle of the lake is an island where Lotte World is located. There is Lotte Tower, which also looks amazing in photos during this season. And it is in Jamsil. It is a place where are many things to do. Additionally, it is easily accessible by public transportation.

Although here is no castle involved like in the previous festival, the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival is the most well-known one in Seoul. There are around 1,400 cherry blossom trees, which is the reason why so many people visit the area during this time.
Another reasons are food stalls, street performances, and of course the view of Han river, where you can put your blanket on the ground and enjoy a nice picnic.
The festival is easily accessible by subway or buses. So I do not recommend going there by car. The parking lots are going to be packed, and it is cheaper to just ride subway than paying for gas and a pricy parking spot.

Cherry Blossoms at the Seoul Palaces

Seoul Forest is more spacious than the other locations on this list and most of the time less crowded. Although there will still be many people with you, it is incomparable with spots like Yeouido. Therefore, you can plan different activities with you friends while enjoying the beauty of cherry blossoms, like for example picnic.
This destination has a more chill vibe then the other spots. So if you like that, you should definitely consider visiting Seoul Forest.
