The Palma Art Space was named after the old name of the area, which was Palmajae. Reborn as an art and cultural space in 2014. Where the past and modern coexist. And a place where contemporary artists have the chance to showcase their works.
In the past, these were four rice warehouses and a Nonghyup bank ใ ก which was built in the 1974 ใ ก. But now, it is an art museum and a cafe. Where the history it is still present. Since it is located in front of the two historic railroads tracks of Gunsan.

What to see?
Design Center
You will come across with a big building. In which you are able to enter for free. There, you can see old pictures of this area. And know more about the expositions that are being hold.
Since 2014, this place has grown into a space that supports the activities of many artists. While exhibiting their works.
The reason to why Palma Art Space is the dream of every artist, is that the museum is responsible for the cost of the exhibition. Making it in a hall of opportunities for any artist that dreams of having exposure. Due to this, it is in fact a great deal for artists. Because it allows them to focus on their own works. Without the burden of having to save money to cover the cost of the exposition.

Yegip Art Museum
Beside the main building, you will find the museum. Which is divided in three sections.
There, you can delight your eyes with the beautiful artworks that are displayed.

As we mentioned before, this museum holds exhibitions. This means that the art that you see there, it is temporary. Since each exposition has a deadline.
In other words, the art that you see today, might not be there tomorrow. Because they might have already start with an exhibition of a different artist.

What I like the most, is that they usually hand you out a booklet. In which the same artworks that are being showcased are printed. Plus it includes the meaning of each art piece and who the author is.
