Oneul Wine is an affordable wine bar franchise with locations all over South Korea. Each of their locations is aesthetic, witty, and overall quite charming. With glasses of wine starting at just 2,900 Won a piece, there is something for everyone to enjoy, even if you are on a tight budget
Introduction
The name, Oneul Wine ( 오늘 와인 한잔) translates to ‘one glass of wine today. This franchise has proven itself to be a charming and elegant wine bar. Also, I could find reasonable prices, great food and wine, all with an incredible atmosphere.

The Place
I was first introduced to Oneul Wine while walking close to Daejeon Skyroad. I decided to have a meal before my bus. My friend and I came across Oneul Wine and from the outside, the place looked very nice.
Going inside was another nice surprise: the atmosphere of the place gives a comfortable and classy vibe. At the time I remember thinking to myself that it was definitely a nice place. You can go to relax by yourself, have a catch-up section with a friend or even have dates.
The place itself is big enough to fit lots of booths and normal tables. On each table, you have a set of crossword and activity books. In case you want to relax doing something more reading-focused, they got you covered.

Later, I discovered that these activity books are not available at all of their locations. Some have other activities, such as wine glass markers. However, some places do not have additional activities available.
The Drinks
Oneul Wine has a selection of different wines that you can order per glass or per bottle. The names of the wines on their menu are fun, cheesy pickup lines. Names include things like Tonight I’m thinking of you and You are as beautiful as flowers. Equally cheesy phrases can be found written on the walls and on coasters.
Other than the premium wines, pretty much all of them you can order just a glass. And the prices vary from 2,900 Won to 8,900 Won. For the bottles, the range is from 18,000 Won to 175,000 Won.
They also have a few options of champagnes, beer, and sparkling wine.
I ordered for myself a rosé from ADORA. Since I am not used to drinking wine, a rosé was the right choice for my palette. With each order, Oneul Wine gives you a card explaining how strong and sweet it is, its notes, and its origin. As someone who doesn’t know much about this, it was very nice having a quick set of information to get to know a little more about what I was drinking.

The Food
Oneul Wine also has a very complete menu to choose from. You can find traditional Korean drinking food (like ramyeon and tteokbokki), appetizers (fries, cheese plates, and salads), Italian food (pizza, pasta, and risotto), and other western foods (fondue and steak). And this is only what I can remember.
We ordered a double cheese pizza for 14,900 Won and a chicken risotto for 9,900 Won and I have got to say that both were worth the price. It was one of the best western-style foods that I tried in a while in Korea.
