If you had one day in Seoul, where would you visit? Quite hard to choose, because there are so many things to see in Seoul and one day is probably not enough. I came up with a Seoul one day itinerary including some of my favorite spots starting from my neighborhood. Let me take you with me on the journey!
But First Coffeeโฆ
Flying all the way to Korea must be tiring, thereโs nothing better than starting your day with a cup of coffee to boost yourself up. And coffee with a fantastic view of Seoul is even better!
This place has a terrace view right in front of Namsan Tower, which is quite breathtaking. Perfect for you to have a panoramic view of the city and chill with coffee. They also have some desserts, and my favorite is their buttery scone that comes with cream and jam. If you are ready now, letโs begin our journey!
Bukchon Hanok Village

We are going to start with the Seoulโs famous Hanok village named Bukchon Hanok Village. To get there, take subway line 3 and get off at Anguk station. Take exit 6 and turn right, and walk along the streets following the Bukchon Hanok Village signs. FYI, some people are still living in the traditional houses, so please make sure to be quiet.
You can take lovely pictures here and get a sight of the modern meets old that makes the beauty of Seoul. If you go down, there are some places where you can buy some souvenirs such as postcards which were mostly drawn by Korean artists.
Insa-dong
On our way, the other side of the street is a traditional place called Insa-dong, it is also a busy area popular for the perfect mix of traditional and contemporary. You can find here museums, galleries, tea shops, souvenir shops and traditional restaurants. To browse places to visit in Insadong, click here!
Ssamziegil
Ssamziegil is a traditional culture and shopping complex which is located on the main street of Insadong.

You can find here traditional handicraft shops as well as souvenirs. Also, there is a bread place selling poop-shaped bread which is very famous these days. It can definitely be an experience itself.
Lunch in Ikseon-dong
Ikseon-dong Restaurant โEX_ON_121โ
All this walking must make you hungry. So hereโs what is on the menu for lunch: a traditional potato pancake with cheese added, chicken curry with rice. I would like to take you to an area in the neighborhood called Ikseon-dong which is popular for its restaurants and coffee shops. Ex-On 121 is a Korean restaurant which is famous in Ikseon-dong for its delicious curry.
Ikseon-dong Cafe โKkilook Houseโ
After a good lunch, it is quite tempting to go for another coffee! As you walk along the streets of Ikseon-dong, you can find many different coffee shops. I would like to recommend โKkilook Houseโ to you, which is a Hanok style cafe with several delicious baked bread. Click here for more information.

I love the view from this cafe! You will get to see the Hanoks from the top, and if youโre lucky, you can sometimes see cats jumping around. If you would like to explore more places in Ikseon-dong, click here!
As I said, a day may not be enough, but I think it is a good idea to explore and chill through the day. I hope you enjoyed it. Please check out my other articles to find more things to do in Seoul.
