There is a huge amount of bars in Seoul. The most known ones are those trendy areas like Itaewon, Hongdae, and Hanam. However, many people do not know about the places where the locals frequent. Such as Jungrang, Nowon, and others. Today, I will introduce you to one of the coziest and coolest bars in Sangbong, Ocean Bar.
Ocean Bar
Ocean Bar is a place where those living in the city can get that holiday beach vibe without having to travel out of Seoul. Blessed with a great atmosphere and tantalizing dishes, Ocean Bar is my go-to for a chill night out. The bar is decorated perfectly in every corner for that Instagram-worthy photo.
Beautiful, isnโt it? The greenery on the wall with the neon sign, the faux sand on the floor that mimicked the beach. Even the golden mirror hung up high was popular with the guests who had the phones out snapping away. However, our night would be complete without the delicious array of food on their menu and their special ale.
Our Order
We started off the night light with a refreshing plate of Salmon Salad. Iโm not the biggest fan of salad, but this piece stole my mind, heart, and stomach. The salmon slices were thick and fresh. The vegetables were crisp and refreshing. The balsamic vinaigrette sauce was the icing on the cake. Packed full of umami flavors, I found myself reaching for a bite again and again. 10/10!
The next appetizer on our list was the Shrimp Gambas. Living up to its name, it was filled with juicy shrimp in a delightful olive oil sauce. The chili flakes were just enough to give our tongues a powerful kick and the bread was toasted to perfection. Also, the tomatoes were tangy, tasty, and filled the dish with more flavor. Absolutely brilliant!
Last but not least, we had their Chopped Steak that was drenched in a savory sauce. The beef cubes were soft and tender. The meat melted in my mouth as fast as my fork was reaching out for more. Also, the sauce coated the meat well and brought a flavorful party on my taste buds. Heaven on earth!
