As some of you know in south Korea night life is a thing, with a lot of different entertainment venues and stores operating late at night. But its not only about clubs and bars in here there’s actually more to do at those late evening hours. While living here one thing I noticed is that people tend to visit parks a lot at night too. Cause why not?
There’s nothing better than getting fresh air during breezy night, doing some sports, night picnic, hiking or just have a walk and enjoy city lights!
In this article, I’m going to be introducing some of the best places for night walks, night views, and fresh air in Seoul.
Located in jongno gu district hyehwa station. Naksan Park is a nice small hiking hill with a fortress trail leading to Dongdaemun. It has a great view of the city, in day time but preferably at night.
With an exercise path, and observation decks.
Just near the popular Namsan tower. the Namsan park located in the heart of Seoul. It features a gentle slope with a nice view of the city center. Namsan Park is perfect for those of you who want to enjoy a leisurely walk on the mountain.
Cheonggyecheon is a modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul. The stream is flowing through the border between Jongno-gu and Jung-gu and passes under a total of 22 bridges before flowing into the Hangang River, with many attractions along the way.
Hangang is the representative river of Seoul. along the river there’s multiple parks like Yeouido park or the banpoo bridge park of which are perfect for day time with several activities available, and perfect for night walks, picnics and bike rides as well.
Located near the busy Seoul station, and once an elevated highway, Seoullo 7017 is garden/park that has been transformed into a public park for pedestrians. the name comes from the year the overpass was first constructed 70, and 17 for the year of the highway’s rebirth. along the way you can find some nice restuarants, coffeeshops and tourist information centers.
The royal palaces are so pretty at day time but at night time as well, especially Gyeongbukgong. the view is just magical at night. and its so refreshing to take a walk in a historical place surrounded by some nature in the middle of the city.
