Must see concept stores in Seoul

Shopping in Korea is a whole experience on itself with their multiple concept stores. Always at the forefront of trends, Seoul is full of unusual places in terms of fashion. But these boutiques are not limited to department stores and fast fashion brands, the capital has seen a rise in original concept stores.

In this article, you will find the addresses of the must-see concept stores in the South Korean capital.

Gentle Monster Flagship store

With a flagship store in Sinsa-dong, Gentle Monster stands out with every new concept for their collection. The brand sells eyewear in an original setting. For each new collection the stores transform into art galleries. During my first encounter with the store, i was confused whether i stepped into a museum per mistake.

In fact, many people visit the stores to see the design, take photos and explore than shop. The stores even have their own unique fragrance and soundtrack to ensure that none are totally alike.

Recently, they launched an event for their yet-to-be open Flagship Store in Dosan, Seoul. and none but idol from Blackpink Jennie came to visit.

for lovers of design and skincare

Tamburins is the new beauty brand created by the founders of the very famous eyewear brand, Gentle Monster. Nestled in the streets of Gangnam, this boutique offers three different atmospheres. Despite its limited selection (the brand offers only 4 products), Tamburins wants to offer a retail space that transports visitors to their world, very focused on contemporary design and art.

To be honest, even when i have nothing to buy i still visit the store often just for the aesthetics! Who knew that hand creams can be exposed this gracefully.

A concept store with minimal and dark looks, Untitledot diversifies its activity with four very different spaces.

A ready-to-wear corner, which offers a section for men, women and children.
A cafe, renowned for its selection of craft and local beer.
An event space, which notably hosts evenings.
A showroom to present new collections and international selections.
Since its opening, Untitledot has become a place of reference for fashion lovers.

The “it brand” of the moment!

Inspired by the athleisure trend (editor’s note: comfortable sportwear), Stretch Angel is a ready-to-wear & accessories brand with pop inspirations. Since it opened last November, the boutique has offered these collections in a retail space with various themes: a boxing ring, a tropical swimming pool, nothing is left to chance.
