Most Visited Spots, Streets and Universities in Seoul

Seoul has a lot of beautiful, popular, and unique places to offer. This is actually a continuation of the “Must-Visit Spots and Popular Attractions in Seoul “. Here are some of the most visited spots, streets and universities in Seoul that you must visit when you’re in South Korea. 

Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Hanok Village is a Korean traditional village in Seoul. The traditional village comprises many alleys and traditional houses called Hanok. In fact, the village is a residential neighborhood and was not built for tourists. Also, there are around 900 traditional hanok houses in the village, made up of stones and woods. This is certainly an incredible place to wander around.

  • How to get there:Take Seoul Subway line number 3 – Orange Line, and get off at Anguk Station and then exit via Exit 1 or 2.

Yeouido Hangang Park

The famous Hangang Park is located just beside the Han River. One of the most visited spots and one of the most popular parks along Hangang River is the Yeouido Park. Also, if I am not mistaken, the Yeouido Hangang Park has the largest “I SEOUL U” mark in the city. Signs like this are scattered around the city, but this is the largest I’ve seen so far. So if you’re searching for a nice spot to take photos for your Instagram post, this is the perfect one.

  • How to get there: Take Seoul Subway Line 5 then get off at Yeouinaru Station and exit via Exit 2 or 3.

Digital Media City

Did you know that Digital Media City is the hub for media, entertainment, and the IT industries in Seoul? Korea’s major broadcasting companies such as KBS, SBS, and MBC are clustered here. 

  • Digital Media City Address: 366, World Cup buk-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
  • How to get there: Take Seoul Subway Line 6 then, get off at Digital Media City Station and Exit via Exit 9.

Hongdae (Hongik University Street)

  • Hongdae is a popular hang out area for youth. You can watch some cultural events, festivals, street performances, as well as busking here. The place is known for its youthful ambiance. You can see here youth expressing themselves through performances, such as busking and dancing.

  • How to get there: Take Seoul Subway Line 2 then, get off at Hongik University Station and exit via Exit 8 or 9.

Myeongdong Street

Myeongdong Street is the ultimate shopping street in Seoul. People used to call it the paradise for shopping and street food. It is a very famous shopping destination for Koreans and also for foreign tourists as well. Do you also want to enjoy a shopping spree in the most vibrant shopping street in Seoul? Also, do you want to try a variety of delicious Korean street foods, too? Shopping, skincare and cosmetics products, restaurants, street foods, souvenirs, etc., name it, it’s all in Myeongdong.

  • Myeongdong Street Address:  Myeongdong-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
  • How to get there: Take Seoul Subway Line 4 and get off at Myeongdong Station. Then exit via Exit 5, 6, 7, or 8. Or you may take Seoul Subway Line 2 and get off at Euljiro Station. Then exit via Exit 5 or 6 and walk for about 2 minutes to reach Myeongdong Street.

Ehwa Womans University

Ehwa Womans University is one of the top private universities in Korea. It’s the first educational institute for women in South Korea. It is one of the most beautiful campuses in Seoul.

Yonsei is one of the most prestigious universities in Korea. It’s a private research university in Seoul. It is also one of the most beautiful universities in Seoul.
