If you spend a short while exploring the neighborhoods adjacent to Seoul National University, you will discover a great offering of hamburger restaurants, or burger joints. I consider myself a bit of an expert, but I even I have difficulty in choosing a favorite. Nevertheless, Melting Pot: American Casual Dining & Pub offers a delicious range of burgers. I strongly urge you to check them out.
Getting There
To reach Melting Pot: American Casual Dining & Pub, take Line 2 to Nakseongdae Station or Seoul National University Station. Once you arrive, refer to your smartphone. This particular location can be found via Naver Maps, Kakao Maps, or Google Maps. In order to reach the restaurant, you will walk a typically busy street. On each side of you will observe one restaurant or cafe after another. This is definitely an area you will want to visit multiple times. Given its proximity to Seoul National University, one of Koreaโs prestigious universities that also merits a visit, many of the people you see will likely be students.
The Menu
As evidenced by the menu and food choices, pictured below, Melting Pot: American Casual Dining & Pub is truly an American-style restaurant. Among their burger choices: Classic Cheese, Avocado, Blue Chicago, Spicy Chipotles, Boston, Detroit Double, Pesto Pesto, Mac & Cheese, Garlic, Mushroom, and Ultimate Cheese.
I have only tried the Classic Cheese and Spicy Chipotle โ each of which is completely mouthwatering and delicious . But I have no doubt the other choices are worth a purchase. If you are a grilled cheese sandwich novice or connoisseur, this venue offers an array of equally compelling choices: America Cheese, Swiss American Cheese, Provolone Cheese, and Triple Cheese.
The Atmosphere
The atmosphere of Melting Pot: American Casual Dining & Pub is friendly, welcoming and, as its name suggests, American in style. As you dine, you will perhaps feel like you are in the United States, chowing down on mouthwatering American cuisine. These days, what with COVID-19 presenting a challenge to public health and the dining industry at large, there may not be many people dining in. Take advantage of this time, and be sure to exercise safety precautions.
