The past few weeks have been the peak season for the fashion industry in Korea. The most anticipated local Korean designer brands have been releasing their Fall/Winter 2022 collections to the public.
Though the industry is large and there are so many brands and styles available in Korea, these two brands, in particular, have the honorary title of the โbrands of the momentโ. They have been seen on the bodies of every fashion lover and are gaining widespread attention from the masses. This is only the beginning.
Fall is finally here, and there are plenty of promising releases planned ahead. So, it would be wise to keep your eyes peeled to find the pieces that you truly love. Even if these brands arenโt in budget they are great references when crafting your own outfits
The Open Product
There is probably no single brand that deserves the title of โbrand of the momentโ for Fall/Winter 2022 more than The Open Product. This brand has been making waves with each of its new releases since 2020.
This new collection of theirs is no different. Just a few days after the products were released for general purchase on their website, some of the fan-favorite pieces sold out immediately.

Their release this time is a combination of updates on silhouettes that have already gotten much love from their customers, as well as new, daring attempts full of quirk and personality. Their bestselling jacket, the Paper-Like Bomber Jacket, has come back for a fourth time after three successful seasons. This time it is a camel beige that would work well in anyoneโs autumn wardrobe. The original khaki brown color from this silhouetteโs debut season is back, too. And, it is ready to be everyoneโs go-to jacket throughout this entire season.
Another notable set of pieces is their knitted sweater and skirt sets. The skirts have an unusual U-slit which shows a little extra on the thigh. As for the knitted sweaters, many of them have peek holes so that wearers can still reveal their garments underneath as the seasons change.

Also a fan favorite this time around are the Velvet Track Jackets that come in three different colorways โ green, beige, and navy. Featuring a big collar that zips up all the way to the chin and a slouchy, relaxed fit that moves with the body, this particular piece has really been making the rounds on Instagram lately, especially alongside the accompanying maxi skirt in the same velvet material.
The recurring theme seen in this collection is Under the Sign of Saturn โ a slogan that repeats on many of their graphics. Grove was all anyone was talking about last year. Their high-profile collaboration line with actress and fashion darling Cha Jungwon caught a lot of attention and sheโs back at it this year. Each of the pieces was made directly with her input and modeled in their lookbook by her.
Purchases skyrocketed since then, to the point that you have to preorder items months in advance. The sheer volume of orders being put in is outstanding. Itโs no surprise at all; Groveโs cozy, warm vibe and the unique yet gentle color palette seen throughout their product line is nothing short of genius. Again for Fall/Winter 2022, it is all any Korean fashion guru wants to wear throughout the upcoming months.

The breakout star of Groveโs latest collection is undoubtedly the Soft Knit, with its oversize silhouette, thick cozy material, and color block accents in the collar and cuffs. Coming in three variations. There is the Mint with black accents, Navy with ivory accents, and Ivory with pale blue accents. Itโs bound to be a versatile piece that will serve you well throughout the rest of the year.
Though most of the Cha Jungwon line has found popularity with the brandโs customers, a favorite has to be the classic Ethel jacket an oversized-fit, three-buttoned blazer that comes in a rarely-seen brown grey, a tan camel beige, and charcoal. Grove has always been known for the quality of their jackets, so if youโre looking for one that will last, know that you can definitely trust them.
