KoreabyMe is proud to announce the launch of our newest feature, Konnect. Konnect is an easy-to-use platform where people from all over the world who are living in Korea can connect with one another. You can ask questions, share information, and meet friends who share similar interests.
On Konnect you can find multiple different groups where you can find people who have come to Korea for the same reasons as you.
Under the Workers group, you can speak with foreign professionals living and working in Korea. We have members who work in every field you could possibly imagine. We have members of the KoreabyMe network who work in programming, are teachers, own their own businesses, and even a few models and actors.
If you have any questions about working in Korea, or if you would like to expand your professional network, this is the place to do it!

Many of KoreabyMe’s writers are international students studying in Korea. They live all over the country, both in the major cities and in the countryside. If you are planning to come to Korea and study, you can use Konnect to make friends before you even arrive.
Additionally, you can find out crucial information related to scholarships. With a little bit of help, you can actually come and study in Korea tuition-free!

If you are raising a child in Korea, it can be difficult to find reliable information. Not only is there a language barrier, but official guidelines are often unclear or not followed at all. The best way to get information is to ask other parents.
Plus, this is a great way to meet other foreign parents in Korea who are going through similar experiences. Everyone needs support sometimes, even parents!

Konnect with New Friends
On Konnect, you can organize Gatherings. We noticed that a lot KoreabyMe’s readers and writers share the same hobbies. So many of you love cafe hopping, hiking, learning new languages, and visiting museums! You all should seriously get together and meet each other in person. I have no doubt you can meet some lifelong friends.
You can use Konnect to sell items and advertise, for free. Of course, you can use Craigslist to sell items in Korea. However, we all know how outdated that platform is and how much it lacks oversite. KoreabyMe is a community and we all know each other in one way or another. Plus, we do not tolerate any forms of discrimination.Konnect provides a safe space for you to trade and sell your items.
Posting on Konnect is a great way to get answers to your questions and share information. We have different groups related to different subjects that people frequently have questions about. Plus, if your answer isn’t answered in a timely manner, a member of the KoreabyMe staff will be sure to research and answer the question for you. We frequently review questions and answers to make sure that you get the most accurate information possible.
KoreabyMe Konnect has groups dedicated to the following for getting and sharing information:
How to Use Konnect
Using Konnect is fairly simple. Once you have created a KoreabyMe account, you simply log in on the KoreabyMe homepage. If you have written for or subscribed to KoreabyMe in the past you already have an account. Once you have logged in, you can click ‘Konnect’ on the top of the screen.
Once you are on Konnect, you will see a textbox under ‘Home’ where you can ‘Share what is on your mind’. You can post here without submitting questions or discussions to a particular group.
If you want to share information with others, you can click on ‘Answer Requests’ to begin Konnecting with others. Or, if you would like to ask a question pertaining to a particular topic or share information with a group, you can click ‘Add Question’.
If you go to ‘Answer requests you will find questions that have not been answered yet and discussions that people haven’t responded to yet.
Add Question and Groups
Under add question, you will find Konnect’s groups. Once you join a group, you can add a New Discussion or post directly on a group’s feed. If you go to feed, you can easily find previous discussions by searching key terms in the search box.
If you subscribe to a group, you will get an email notification whenever someone posts to the group.
Under the Konnectors tab, you will find all of the members of the KoreabyMe Konnect community.
Here you can find people you know and add them as your friends. You can also send them a DM.
My Inbox is where you can find your direct messages sent to you by your friends.
You can send messages, images, video files, and documents.

You can change your information, profile picture, and background image. In the profile section of the site, you can also view all of your posts, connections, groups, and uploaded content.
