If you are a Kdrama fan, you have probably heard of KBS or Korean Broadcasting System. It is one of Koreaโs largest television networks which was founded in 1927. KBS is the producer of some hit Kdramas such as Descendants of the Sun, Love in the Moonlight, Dream High, Healer and Oh My Venus. It also the network behind successful series such as The Endless Love and School series. In addition, KBS also broadcasts one of the top music programs in Korea โ the Music Bank. But did you know that you can enjoy a FREE Hallyu Tour at KBS ON Experience Hall located in KBS building?

About KBS ON Experience Hall
KBS ON is Koreaโs exhibition hall that is dedicated to broadcasting. It aims to inform people about the history and evolution of the Korean broadcasting industry. You can take a look at how KBS has evolved and become an institution in the industry. It offers various firsthand broadcasting experiences such as new reporting and voice dubbing. The KBS Exhibition Hall first opened in 1977 and after extensive renovation, the exhibition hall reopened in April 2001.
FREE Hallyu Tour
The KBS tour starts from the main hall on the second floor and continues onto the fourth and fifth floors.
KBS ON Lobby
A dashing Captain Yoo Shi-jin (Song Joong-ki) of the Kdrama โDescendants of the Sunโ will welcome you at the lobby of the KBS ON. The lobby also displays different KBS programs such as News and Documentary, Children Programs and Sports.
Kdrama Hall
Pay homage to the previously aired Korean dramas at the Kdrama Hall. Walking through the hall will make you walk down memory lane as you see posters of some of your favorite Kdramas. It also exhibits posters from currently airing shows of KBS.
Hologram Corner
Enjoy a Hallyu tour with your favorite artists joining you on the screen through hologram. You can take strike a pose and have photos with the leads of Descendants of the Sun. To make it more legit, try to act as if you are really with them in the screen. You may also opt to change the screen and join the cast of KBSโ variety show 2 Days & 1 Night or a live performance from Music Bank.
Voice Dubbing
Another exciting part of this free Hallyu tour is the voice dubbing. You can record your own voice while dubbing to a cartoon show. Of course, the script is in Korean which will appear on the screen. But if you canโt read Korean yet, you can just listen to the voice guide and follow after it.

News Reporting
In addition to Voice Dubbing, you can also experience doing news reporting. Act like a news anchor while seating in front of camera. Thereโs also a new script which will appear on the teleprompter in front of you. Again, the script is in Korean but it will be a memorable immersing experience if you can read it.

Watch Live Radio Show
The KBS Building which houses the KBS ON Experience Hall also has a viewable radio studio. Fans can watch outside while a radio program is ongoing. This is where the KBS Cool FM and KBS Happy FM do their radio shows. Read a more detailed guide in Watching Live Radio Shows in Korea.
See Kpop Idols
If you are planning to experience KBS ONโs free Hallyu tour, you might as well try your luck in seeing Kpop idols on their way to Music Bank. Just few walks from the KBS Hall, is the building where Kpop idols go to shoot their Music Bank performances every Friday morning and afternoon. Fans cannot enter the building but you can wait for them outside and get a chance to see them up close. Read a more detailed guide on How Foreigners Can Attend Music Shows in Korea.
