When talking about Korean culinary, ā€˜spicy’ is one of the first words that come to my mind. For those not used eating spicy food, itĀ can beĀ a little hard adapting to this new taste, mainly because Korean level of spiciness is really strong. With time, you can get used with spicy food, but will you also start missing your home country food. So here is Ipanema Grill for our Brazilians friends living in Korea and anyone else who would like to taste of Brazilian culinary.

About IpanemaĀ GrillĀ (ģ“ė¹ ė„¤ė§ˆź·øė¦“)

You can find a couple of Brazilian restaurants in Seoul, but this is one of my favorites.Ā IpanemaĀ Grill is a Brazilian steakhouse that opened in 2016Ā inĀ Sinchon. It also has a branch inĀ Hongdae, but I’ll be talking about theĀ SinchonĀ one, since I just visited this one.

The interior

The place has a cozy atmosphere, lots of Brazil famous landscapes photos, paintings and traditional objects decorating its walls. But what catches your sight, when first entering the restaurant, is an amazing mural showing the brazilian flag, ornamented withĀ beautiful species from Brazil.

Menu and prices

IpanemaĀ Grill price varies depending on when you go there: dinner time and weekends are more expensive than lunch time (during the week only). The menu has some lunch offers, but the best for meat lovers is the ā€˜Churrasco’ (the famous Brazilian barbecue). You can choose between ā€˜Limited’ or ā€˜All you can eat’ options. The ā€˜Limited’ option gives you one of each main dish, while ā€˜All you can eat’ has unlimited helping of meat. Unlimited side dishes for both.

The ā€˜Churrasco’ main dishes include tenderloin steak, top sirloin, thin skirt, garlic thick skirt, chicken and sausage; the side dishes, fried rice, vegetable salad, potato salad,Ā vinagreteĀ (a delicious Brazilian sauce, usually eaten with churrasco), pickled radish; andĀ the dessert with grilled pineapple andĀ iguaƧuĀ coffee. For those who like it, they also have the Brazilians’ beloved black beans and garlic bread!

Besides all that, the restaurant has one of the most famous Brazilian soft drinks calledĀ ā€˜GuaranÔ’. ItĀ is madeĀ with a fruit of the same name,Ā found in Brazil, and has a unique delicious taste! It is a must for everyone whoĀ is interestedĀ in Brazil!

Why visit Ipanema Grill?

Ipanema Grill’s owner is Brazilian and Brazilians are famous for being very friendly and receptive. So, besides a tasty food, similar to what you find in Brazil, you can expect a warm welcoming in this restaurant. The owner and staffs are very kind and can serve you in 4 different languages: Portuguese, Korean, English and Spanish. Also, the meat quality is great and the side dishes are delicious, so the price is totally worth it.

How to get there?

It’s really easy to get to this restaurant because it’s located very close toĀ SinchonĀ station, Line 2. Inside this station you can find a sign indicating an exit that goes throughĀ U-PlexĀ shopping. From this exit, when looking slightly to your right, you will see anĀ EtudeĀ House around the corner. FollowingĀ theĀ small street whereĀ EtudeĀ House is at, you will see a Brazilian flag on the right side of the street, that’sĀ IpanemaĀ Grill, on the 2nd floor of the building!
