Welcome to the Hyundai Card Music Library! This trendy venue is home to some of the rarest vinyl records and music magazines in all of Korea. The sleek exterior was designed by architect Choi Moongyu and Ga.A Architects while the interior was completed by the international design company Gensler.

The beautiful concept for this building is actually the brainchild of the Hyundai Card company and their aim is to provide visitors a one of a kind immersive experience through music! And we have to admit that this sort of venue is pretty unique and is a great way to learn about the culture of music.
How to go?
Hyundai Card Music Library is located at 246 Itaewon-ro, Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
If you are near Seoul Station then the best way to reach the library is to board a bus from the Seoul Station Bus Transfer Center to Hannam-dong Community Service Center bus stop. The library is only 1 minute away from the bus stop.
Hyundai Card Music Library opens at 12 noon each day till 6 pm in the evening.
Want to know whatโs underground?
The building has two floors above ground level which serve as a library for vinyl records of some of the most iconic musicians from around the world. The library also has a huge collection of magazines and books about some of the most famous music bands today.

The first floor also has a reception area and a cafรฉ that serves some excellent coffee.

But the coolest part is that there are also two floors underground. One floor has an underground stage and is big enough to throw concerts for up to 500 people! The other floor has music studios that are designed for recording sessions and music rehearsals.

Letโs go take a closer look at the library which has rows and rows of records lined up in its shelves. The material is divided up into many categories like theory, sound books, magazines and various other collections.

So, this place is practically a godsend for music enthusiasts and theorists because it has a whopping 10,000 vinyl records and 3000 music publications! It is practically an archive of music and an amazing place for music historians because there is so much interesting information about older music styles and bands in this library.

And there is also some great news for folks who prefer older bands because there is a whole section dedicated to the Rolling Stone collection!

Here fans can explore all the Rolling Stone magazine catalogues starting from 1967! The curators at the library have actually put this collection together by travelling all over the world to find these pieces.
Take a look at this classic turntable! The library has 6 in total and all of them can be used by guests to listen to some records.

Also check out some of this amazing wall dรฉcor! The wall on the left is decorated with old stereo speakers that are painted white and lined up to create this cool aesthetic effect. It is a really great background if you want to get some Instagram-worthy shots!

I have to admit that this is one of the most aesthetically pleasing spots in all of Seoul which makes it the go to area if you want some trendy pictures. It also houses some of the most exclusive music records from all over the world and you can listen to some on the turntables there! Now, thatโs definitely something that you donโt get to do everyday!
