Korea is finally reopening its doors to international tourism! If this is your first time traveling to South Korea, welcome! The first thing on your mind after arriving at Incheon international airport is undoubtedly going to be how to get from the airport to Seoul. But donโt worry! There are a few simple, cost-effective options.
Introduction
There are three main public transportation options you have when going from Incheon Airport to Seoul. To make it simplified, I will be discussing routes from Incheon Airport terminal 2 to Seoul station.
Subway (Airport Line)

The biggest advantage of the subway is that it avoids traffic jams and you will almost always arrive according to schedule. There is both an all-stop and an express train that operate on this line.
Express Train: 8,000 Won, 52 min
All-Stop Train: 4,750 Won, 67 min
First train 05:23 AM. Last train 10: 48PM.
Using the subway is fairly simple. I recommend stopping at a convenience store as soon as you get off the plane. Go up to the counter and ask for a T-Money card. This will be your transportation card for your entire stay in Korea. You can add money to your transportation card at the convenience store counter (cash or card) or at the machines in the subway station (cash only). Then, just follow the signs to the subway and hop on, itโs that simple!

Airport Bus

Airport buses are the second favorite transportation option for going from the airport to Seoul. Buses allow you to quickly and conveniently get to various areas of Seoul without the hassle of carrying your luggage through the subway system. For travelers weary from a long flight, the best choice would be a limousine bus offering comfortable spacious seats.
Before arriving in South Korea, you can use Naver maps by Clicking Here. On Naver maps, you can enter the address of your hotel and check on airport bus routes. Airport buses are light blue and have 4-digit numbers.
Regular Airport bus: 10,000 Won
Premium Airport bus: 16,000 Won
From Incheon Airport Terminal 2 to Seoul station, it takes around 2 hours 15 min but can vary significantly based on traffic.
You can purchase airport bus tickets outside of airport arrivals. There is both an electronic and staffed ticket booth. If you arenโt sure which bus or station you need to get off at, you can always ask staff for assistance.
Taxi

If you are not comfortable using public transportation or arrive late at night, then a taxi may be the best option for you. But itโs more on the pricy side. Most taxi drivers at the airport read and speak basic English. So, you should not have a problem with giving them the address and them knowing where to go.
Taxi: 50,000 โ 60,000 won
It is not unheard of for taxi drivers to try to scam tourists. If you are charged significantly more than expected, or the taxi driver turns the meter off, you should report it. You can call 120 to report taxi scams in South Korea.
