Horse riding is just one of various activities related to animals that you can do in South Korea’s country side. Anseong Farmland is a great place for a family weekend trip or getaway when you need to escape from bustling city life for a bit.

Anseong Farmland introduction
Anseong Farmland is an animal lover’s paradise. There is a wide range of animals on the farm. I know there are a lot of people looking for a place to escape the hustle of city life – and this place is perfect!
Plus, who doesn’t want to enjoy nature with friends and families at the weekend? This is an especially great place to visit if you want to have a fun time with your kids.
When I arrived at Anseong Farmland, one of the first things I noticed were the many families and kids around the farm. In addition to having a ton of kid-friendly animals, they also sell ice-cream and animal-themed costumes. Kids have a blast at this place!

What Does Anseong Farmland Have to Offer?
The area is big and it has plenty of space for kids and adults to have fun.
There are some warehouse-looking houses around the area that house galleries and information centers. This is a great place to learn all about Korean nature and farming practices.
Plus, some of the warehouses are home to some seriously fun activities! There is go kart riding for both kids and adults where you can speed around in tiny electric vehicles. The area is quite big, so renting an electric vehicle is not a bad idea if you wish to ride around the area with your friends.
There are also various activities for kids like a kid’s playground ( you will have to pay a fee). There is also an animal talent show, where you will see various animals putting on good show to entertain customers.
And for out instagram lovers – there is a beautiful area full of sunflowers and grasslands that is the perfect place for you to picnic when the weather is nice.

Besides that, there are also a wide range of restaurants and coffee places. The food there is delicious and definitely can keep you full during the trip in the farm land.
Horse Riding: Before You Ride
There are signs all over Anseong Farmland about horseback riding – so you will definitely be able to find this place. You have the option to ride either outside or inside the warehouse. However, when I went there, there was only option to ride inside the warehouse.
Before you enter, if you already bought a ticket, you won’t need to buy another one at the entrance to the horse riding warehouse. However, if you haven’t bought it, you will need to buy a ticket.
Ticket Pricing
The combined price for entry to Anseong Farmland and horseback riding is 15,000 won for kids and 17,000 won for adults. After 4pm, the price is 12,000 won regardless of age.
Once you have your ticket you will not need to wait to ride a horse. You can just buy a ticket and go! Don’t be scared, the horses are friendly and the instructors can speak English.

Horse Riding: During
First, you need to put on a helmet before mounting your horse. Once you are geared up, there are stairs to help you to get on the horse. It’s a little bit scary, but just follow instructor’s guide and you will be fine.
Before you ride, the instructor will help you stop for a few seconds so that you can take pictures with the horse. You can take around 3 pictures before the instructor will lead the horse around.
You can go 3 laps around the track on the horse. During that time I enjoyed petting the horse. Keeping balance on the horse is not easy. Especially as a beginner, It was really easy to fall down. But the horse was really friendly and calm despite my squirming. Plus, the instructor will be with you the whole time to prevent any incidents.

Horse Riding: After
Following the experience, I fell in love with the horse. Horses are an animal that is very intelligent and human-friendly. I love them all and couldn’t help but give countless horses pets during my time at Anseong Farmland.
The picture of me riding a horse is an amazing memory for me. Beside the horse itself, the instructor’s friendliness and his sense of humor made me feel so relaxed during the whole process. For anyone that has a special interest in horses, I recommend that you go to Anseong Farmland and give horseback riding a try.
