Are you a fangirl specifically of Hallyu celebrities? Then you should definitely watch the Korean drama Her Private Life starring Park Min-young, Kim Jae-wook and Ahn Bo-hyun. Her Private Life is actually based on a Korean novel entitled Noona Fan Dot Com. It follows the life of an ultimate fangirl Sung Deok-mi (Park Min-young) who likes White Ocean’s Cha Shi-an (Jung Jae-won). If you are a Kpop fan, you can surely identify yourself with Deok-mi and her fangirl behavior. But in real-life, she is a talented chief curator of Cheum Museum of Art where Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-wook) eventually ends up being the new Art Director. This Kdrama has some cliché and gets too choosy towards the end but you can still appreciate it. And if you planning a trip to Seoul, here is a list of Her Private Life filming locations that you might want to visit:
702 Recording Studio is where Cha Si-an’s (Jung Je-won) recording studio is whic appeared in episodes 11 of Her Private Life.
In episode 8 of the series, Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-wook) picks out flowers at Atelier VertVert (아뜰리에 베르베르). This flower shop and workshop school is located on the 1st floor of Discovery Building in Seoul.
Another Her Private Life fliming site is the Balbadal Park. In episode 12, Nam Eun-gi (Ahn Bo-hyun), comes to this park with his mother Nam Se-yun (Park Myung-shin) for a heart-to-heart talk regarding his feelings with Deok-mi.
In addition to this list is Cafe CocoMoco, the café is run by Sung Deok-mi’s (Park Min-young) best friend Lee Sun-joo (Park Jin-joo). This coffee shop appeared several tumes in the drama like in the first 2 episodes.
Moreover, Her Private Life also filmed scenes at the Children’s Grand Park. This is where Lee Sun-joo (Park Jin-joo) shoots fake couple photos of Sung Deok-mi (Park Min-young) and Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-wook) in episode 4. Children’s Grand Park (서울어린이대공원) is one of the many public parks in Seoul that is best for family bonding especially those with children.
While Nam Eun-gi’s (Ahn Bo-hyun) judo studio ‘Choikang Judo Gym’ is actually the Dobong Top Judo (도봉탑유도관) in Dobong-gu, Seoul.
Also on this list is the Gwanghwamun Bus Stop where Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-wook) and Sung Deok-mi (Park Min-young) take a bus to enjoy Seoul’s night scenery.
This series was also filmed at Gyeongseon Jeonjib. This is where The Cheum Museum team go to have a drink after their dinner in episode 6.
And lastly, the Gyeongui Line Plaza also appeared in Her Private Life. This is where Sung Deok-mi (Park Min-young) pauses to look at a group of children playing with bubbles in episode 9.
