One of the best things to do when traveling to different countries is to visit their respective theme parks. In Asia, when people go to Hong Kong, they make sure to visit Disneyland or Ocean Park. While others go to LEGOLAND when they are in Malaysia. And when people travel to Singapore or Japan, Universal Studios is always in their itinerary. It maybe because we are all kids at heart; we love the happiness that going to a theme park gives us. In Korea, the countryโs largest and a must-visit theme park is Everland [์๋ฒ๋๋], the land of dreams and fantasy. Hereโs everything you need to know to have a fun and exciting experience in Everland!

Visitors can have fun at Everland as it offers various attractions such as thrilling rides, zoo, garden and many photo attractions that people of all ages could enjoy. The theme park is also open all year-round and an awesome experience awaits those who visit the park regardless if its winter, spring, summer or fall. Thereโs a daily parade too and beautiful fireworks at night that you must definitely see!
Everland Theme Zones
Everland is divided into five theme zones namely: American Adventure, Zoo Topia, Global Fair, Magic Land and European Adventure.

Global Fair
This zone welcomes the visitors of Everland. Upon entering the park, you can see souvenir shops, food stalls as well as the Guest Services Counter. True to its name, the establishments in the Global Fair area have some cultural influences from other countries. But the most notable piece in this zone is the Giant Magic Tree. The treeโs design changes based on the overall theme of the park. For example, during Halloween, the tree turns into a tree with pumpkin and lighted ghost stakes.

Zoo Topia
As its name suggests, Zootopia is an animal-themed area of the park. Everland provides a safari ride so visitors could go around the zoo safely and not to cause inconvenience the animals in their natural habitat.
European Adventure
The European Adventure has many European-inspired architectures. There is also a flower garden with a train, games and arcades. This area also has the Everlandโs most famous ride โ the T-Express.
Magic Land
Magic land has the Aessopโs Village where you can see the Aesop Umbrella Alley. Most of the characters and themes in this area are from the fables of Aesop.
American Adventure
This zone presents rides and attractions that are inspired by American history. Even the restaurants in this area offer American food too.
Famous Rides and Attractions
Everland is such a big theme park that even though you spend a whole day in it, you wonโt be able to experience all the rides and attractions. Iโve been to Everland twice already but I think Iโve only experienced less than 20 rides so far. That is why it is better to plan your itinerary when you go to Everland so you can maximize your time. Here are some of its famous rides and attractions:
T-Express

T-Express is Everlandโs steepest roller coaster that is made of wood. It is also probably my most favorite rides as I have tried it four times already. The excitement, adrenaline rush and sort of fear it gives is really out of this world. This ride will make you shout for the name of your loved ones when youโre up in the air. Note though that since it is a famous ride, many people line up for T-Express. Iโve experienced lining up for it for one hour but it was worth the wait.
Zone: European Adventure
Thunder Falls
If you want to experience a water adventure, then Thunder Falls is for you. It is the longest waterway and the largest falling angle, flume ride in the park.

Zone: Magic Land
Double Rock Spin
Exhilarating thrills await you if you ride the Double Rock Spin with its powerful spins. It executes 4 consecutive full spins at a height of 20 meters.

Zone: American Adventure
Letโs Twist
Shout at the top of your lungs when you experience the exciting twists of this ride in all directions with great music.

Zone: American Adventure
Columbus Adventure
If you love Vikings, you will surely enjoy riding the Columbus Adventure. It is less scary compare to the T-Express but it will still give you a thrilling experience. Itโs also amusing because you get to see the reactions of the other rides on the opposite side of the ship.
Zone: American Adventure
Racing Coaster
If you want to ride a roller coaster but you feel like T-Express is too much for you, then experience riding the Racing Coaster. Itโs a never-ending race on a roller coaster between a fast-running rabbit named Hurkey and a slow-moving turtle named Timmy.

Zone: Magic Land
Four Seasons Garden
If you love walking around a garden with lovely looking flowers, you will definitely love spending some time in Four Seasons Garden. Many Kdramas scenes were filmed in this area.
Zone : European Adventure
Rose Garden
If rose is your favorite flower, then a visit to Everlandโs Rose Garden is a must! It showcases rose in variety of colors.
Zone : European Adventure
Romantic Tower Tree
Everland features a 26-meter-high flower themed tower called the โFlower Magic Towerโ. It is decorated with flowers such as tulips, roses and daisies.

Safari World and Lost Valley
You can also have fun in Everland by getting closer to nature. Explore the Lost Valley Safari Adventure and see different animals from around the world. Safari experience features lions, tigers, adorable bears, giraffe and many more. Note however that the exhibition of animals may be limited for the protection of animals. Depending on the weather conditions, some animals may be not exhibited outdoors. Participants must be at least 100 cm tall. Children under 100 cm tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion.

Zone: Zoo Topia
Panda World
Panda World is an exhibition hall that incorporates advanced IT where you can not only view but also experience panda. Note that in case of sub-zero temperature, snowfall, strong wind, the exhibition may be limited for the protection of animals.

Zone: Zoo Topia
