Gemstone Cafe in Daejeon

Gemstone cafe in Daejeon is one of my favorite places. I am a coffee shop lover. In Korea, every coffee shop has its own theme and signature drinks. This Gemstone cafe has a luxurious view and delicious drinks. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take good Instagram pictures or stories to come to this coffee shop.

The coffee shop’s name is gemstone or 젬스톤 however, you won’t find any crystals here. Instead, the cafe itself is a gemstone. The coffee shop is especially pretty at night time.

The beautiful lighting system around the room and under the tree brings a gemstone vibe to the coffee shop.  Right before you step in you can see all the gorgeous lights of the coffee shop.  And, the moment you step into the coffee shop, a big Christmas tree will definitely catch your attention. The light on the ground and on the wall made me feel like I just stepped into a different world. There is a big Chandelier ceiling light that brings a luxurious vibe to the coffee shop. But on the ground, there are many different kinds of plants that add a pretty green color to the scene.

As for the furniture in Gemstone cafe, they organize the chairs and tables around the room neatly. They make sure that every customer’s tables are not too close to each other. Chair and tables are also different depending on where you sit. On the first floor, you can sit on a basic set of tables and chairs. Then, further inside, there is a pretty set of tables and soft sofas that are suitable for anyone who wants more privacy. The colors also differ significantly ranging from blue and brown to pink.

The Menu: Cakes and Drink

In addition to the interior of the coffee shop, there is also a wide range of food. For example, different kinds of sweets like macarons, bread, and croissants are served at the cafe.

Personally, I only tried the red velvet cake but it was absolutely delicious. Besides red velvet cake, the coffee shop also has other scrumptious cakes. Some of them are Délice au Chocolat, Earl Grey roll, and the Tiramisu roll. The cakes and the drink may change depending on the season as well.

Their seasonal drink when I went (winter/spring time) was the Strawberry latte and it was very good. The Strawberry latte may be too sweet for some people, but for me, it was absolutely delicious. I want to recommend this drink to anyone who comes to this coffee shop during the right season.
