Seoul as a city has a lot of fun things to discover. As a foreigner that has been living in Seoul for almost two years, I still did not visit all the places in my bucket list. But I am doing my best to visit new places whenever I have time. Today I would like to suggest you three museums that I have visited. Which are Trickeye Museum, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and National Museum of Korea.
Trickeye Museum Seoul
Trickeye Museum Seoul is a gallery franchise with big wall paintings or installations, which contain AR effect and/or 3D illusions. The company owner of the Trickeye Museum has developed special camera application in order to see landed AR effect. The museum is located in the middle of the famous neighborhood Hongdae. The museum is open everyday from 10am to 7pm.
National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art
The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea is a contemporary art museum with the main museum in Gwacheon and three branches each in Deoksugung, Seoul and Cheongju. To be honest it is one of my favorite museums in Seoul. If you enjoy modern and contemporary art then this is the place to go. The museum is located in a calm area in Seoul next to Gyeongbokgung Palace. The entrance fee costs 4,000 won. Before visiting the museum, you can first check the website to know in advance what kind of exhibition are open. Also the place is surrounded by many small cafes!
National Museum of Korea
If you want to learn more about Korean history and culture then you should absolutely visit The national museum of Korea. The National Museum of Korea is the flagship museum of Korean history and art in South Korea and is the cultural organization that represents Korea. The admission fee to this museum is free so you can spend your time discovering and learning more about Korean culture. They also have an exhibition about Buddhism.
