For A Day Dining Cafe: True Bliss of Sunset Hours

Ever just desire a break from the hardships of daily endeavors? How desperately do you seek a sanctuary to isolate yourself from the heated workload and external stresses? If that’s so, you’re in for a treat! For A Day Cafe is the right place for you to enjoy your coffee and desserts while enjoying the breathtaking sunset view of Han River.

Directions to For A Day Dining Cafe

You can get to this café by taking the subway to Dosim Station (it’s on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line) and walk out from exit 2. Then, cross the road and you’ll find a bus station on your right. Take bus 112-1, 116 or 63 and get off at Hapaldang Samgeori Pedestrian Overpass. The café may be a little difficult to find because it is not located opposite or next to the bus station where you drop off. But, fret not, you can easily reach the café in 5 minutes by following the directions on Kakao or Naver Map.

Address: 8-7 Gyeonggang-ro 926 beon-gil, Wabu-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do

Beverages and Desserts

The beverages come in a wide range of varieties – from coffee, non-coffee, tea, ade, smoothies to alcoholic drinks. My friends and I ordered French chocolate and organic green tea latte. Apart from that, the café offers many mouthwatering desserts like Hong Kong egg waffles, cakes, earl grey tarts and Greek yogurts. The Hong Kong fresh fruits egg waffle is their signature desserts, so do not miss the chance to try it out! If you’re hungry, you can also order spaghetti, risotto and even squid fried rice.

For desserts, we ordered Hong Kong egg waffle with fresh fruits and whipping cream on top, dark earl grey tart and grapefruit cheese cake. The tastes are rich and flavorful. The price range for beverages is around 6000 to 8000 won while the desserts cost around 8000 to 12000 won.

Enjoying the Scenery

The café is huge – you can find seats outdoor, indoor as well as on the rooftop! First, my friends and I enjoyed our drinks and desserts on the first floor. Then, we went to the rooftop to enjoy the scenery and view of Han River. On the rooftop, there are igloo-shaped seats for you to chit-chat with your friends while enjoying the scenery. (Note that kids are not allowed to enter the rooftop.)

Aside from its spectacular view, there are a lot of ‘Instagrammable’ photo spots in this café.

I took this picture from the rooftop. As you can see, there are many seats outdoor for you to chill with your beloved ones while blending in with the nature. Many families bring along their puppy as well. Pets are allowed in this café.

We stayed there until late evening to enjoy the golden egg yolk sun. It is indeed a perfect destination for relaxation and known by many to be a sight for sore eyes.

If you have the chance to visit Namyangju, don’t forget to drop by this café to view the spectacular descent of sun. Bring your loved ones and enjoy the true bliss of sunset hours together in this cozy café! Click here to see more pictures of the cafe!
