Seoul city has a broad list of different restaurants to enjoy the food. So it is very interesting as a gastronomic city in Asia. Here is a list of three amazing places in Seoul. I personally visited those places and I will recommend you visiting them and have nice time. Visiting as a tourist or living in the city you will probably visit some famous places as Hongdae, Ikseondong, Myeondong, Yeonnnamdong, etc. The next three places, that I want to introduce. are located in three popular neighborhoods in Seoul: Iksondong, Hongdae, Yeongnamdong. So you can visit it during your trip or weekends to have lunch or dinner with tasteful drinks.
Salon Sulla Pub & Restaurant (์ด๋กฑ์๋ผ)
Located in Jongno district, Ikseondong is full of trendy restaurants and cafes, where you can enjoy classic atmosphere. Salon Sulla is one of the best Instagrammable places in Iksondong.
How to get to Ikseondong?
By Subway:
- Line #1, Jongno 3-ga station (์ข ๋ก3๊ฐ์ญ), Exit 2 or 10 (500 m walk)
- Line #3, 5, Jongno 3-ga station (์ข ๋ก3๊ฐ์ญ), Exit 7 or 8 (300 m walk)
This amazing restaurant offers gorgeous vine, pasta, steak, beer and some cocktails. Also Salon Sulla is a lovely place with beautiful interior of Hanok (Traditional Korean house). I really like Korean architecture and every time when I visit the Ikseondong neighborhood, I enjoy viewing traditional hanok buildings. Especially I find it interesting and beautiful, because of the point of amazing tiled roof (๊ธฐ์).
We tried tasty pasta with a glass of wine and spent a lovely afternoon. I recommend trying their Spawn Cream Pasta, Tomato Bacon Pasta, paired with some wine or wine cooler.
The price of wine bottles ranges from 40.0~90.0 WON. Most of wine bars and restaurants in Seoul have the same price for wine, so it is the average price.
I can also recommend trying wine coolers. We had two kinds of it: Sunset Sulla and Moonlight Sulla. Personally, I liked more the second one ^^. The flavor of Sunset Sulla is more deep and amazing.
Tip: Visit the place during the rose-blooming season. They have a really beautiful rose garden.
If you go at weekends, it will be better to call and book a table in advance.

Rolling pasta (๋กค๋ง ํ์คํ)
Rolling Pasta is famous for their low prices for pasta and pizza, that tastes really delicious. There are a huge number of Rolling Pasta in Korea. As for me, I visited the chain, located in Hongdae.
How to get to Hongdae?
By Subway:
Line #2, Hongik University station (ํ๋์ ๊ตฌ์ญ), Exit 9
If you are on a budget, Rolling Pasta will be a good decision^^. The cheapest pasta is Tomato Pasta and Aglio Olio Pasta 4500 WON and the most expensive pasta is Seafood Cream Pasta and Steak Cream Pasta 7900 WON. The size of dishes is also very nice. They also offer pizza, cocktails and some drinks. Even at this shockingly low prices Rolling Pasta does not sacrifice the quality and uses only fresh ingredients and it is an atmospheric place. Rolling pasta has branches all over the Korea, so it should not be hard to find the nearest one and try their amazing food.

The April (๋์์ดํ๋ฆด)
This place is located in Yeonnamdong in the Mapo District, which is a hot place with narrow alleyways and small streets, full of trendy shops, cozy coffee shops, museums and galleries.
How to get to Yeonnam dong?
By subway:
- Line #2, Hongik University station (ํ๋์ ๊ตฌ์ญ), Exit 3 (900 m walk)
- Gyeongui Line, Gajwa Station (๊ฐ์ข์ญ), Exit 4 (900 m walk)
The April is an all day brunch cafรฉ and it is a little bit expensive place, but it is very good. They have such a good menu, that it is hard to choose what to eat. They offer different kinds of brunches, salads, pasta, drinks and teas.
By the way, The April was a place, where two Korean dramas were shooting. The first drama is โThe best divorceโ (2018). Jo Seok-mooโs (Cha Tae-hyun) and his ex-girlfriend Yoo-young (Lee El) came here for dinner in episode 2. And the second drama is โSuspicious partnerโ (2017), where some actors also came to The April and used it as a shooting place. What is more, recently some famous actors Ryu Seung Ryong and Hong Seok Cheon were visited this place too. So, The April is really famous place, that offer amazing food.
Service, staff and atmosphere was also good.
I was very satisfied with their food and I totally can recommend it for you!
