To celebrate the arrival of spring, the village of Sojeong-myeon in Sejong City is holding the 3rd Gokgyocheon Cherry Blossom Photo Contest, accepting entries until the 16th of this month.
Gokgyocheon, a hidden gem in Sojeong-myeon, is known for its relatively late blooming period, allowing visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms for a longer period of time compared to other areas.
Anyone can participate in the contest by submitting a photo taken with Gokgyocheon’s cherry blossoms as the background via email (ljw4@hanmail.net). The submitted photos will be judged publicly, with eight winners announced on the 19th of this month.
The winning photos will be exhibited inside the Sojeong-myeon Community Welfare Center for seven days and the winners will receive local specialties as a prize.
A representative of the Sojeong-myeon Residents’ Council stated, “We hope this contest will provide an opportunity to share the beauty of Gokgyocheon and discover new aspects of our neighborhood through photography.”
