Got a new friend or already have a long-standing furry friend? Well if this is the case, you will be extremely happy to know Korea, day by day, is becoming overall a more dog-friendly place. There are a lot of new cafes, pensions, and even hotels/resorts welcoming our pets.ย In todayโs article, I would like to share, from my personal experience, some of the best places in Korea to take your pets. We will cover highlights, price ranges, and opening times.
Finding Pet-Friendly Cafes

Spaced out all over the country, just a Naver search away, you can search the equivalent of โpet-friendlyโ places in Korean, with the key term โ์ ๊ฒฌ๋๋ฐโ. With this search, you will find thousands of trendy cafes that you can go to along with your puppies. However, just to be sure, contact the places for hygiene guidelines and any restrictions. Korea is quite welcoming for smaller-sized dogs, but sadly bigger sized friends tend to get frowned upon to stay, especially in smaller cafes.ย
I Love Puppy

Located in Unyang-dong, a quiet and fancy neighborhood in Gimpo, this place offers a huge 3-floor space dedicated to puppies where all weights and dogs breed are accepted. This place also has a pretty big rooftop, with plenty of space for the puppies to run.
Additionally, in summer it becomes a puppy pool! How cool is that? The facility offers washing/dryer rooms for a small fee to bathe your pets after they play/swim. Plus, they have tons of food for both humans and puppies to either enjoy a cafe-like experience or have a full meal!

Pet-Friendly Hotels
More and more hotels are slowly adding pet-friendly rooms to their facilities but Iโm going to be clear, most of these rooms come at quite the price per nightโฆ Some are a bit more affordable but in general, you should expect to pay no less than 200,000 KRW per night (with no breakfast included) However there are two very good options if you are up to spending the money and going on a getaway with your pup:
Grand Summorum Jeju
With a perfect ocean view, this hotel offers a full-on puppy package upon booking an ocean-view room with a feeder, bed, and other amenities for dogs. Pets are fully allowed in all spaces including the cafeteria and pool!
118 Operating Hours: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Everyday!
Sonocam Goyang
Similar to Grand Summorum, Sonocam is a fully pet-friendly space in Goyang. That allows a perfect rest and actually counts with a very complete and aesthetically pleasing set of very good quality amenities for our pups like feeders, snacks, plushies, etc. Normally the room runs a bit more expensive but the views, staff, and amazing rooftop where you can rest while drinking a cup of coffee whilst your puppy plays really pays off.ย
Sonocam Goyang (์๋ ธ์บ ๊ณ ์) Address: 20 Taegeuk-Ro, Ilsandong-Gu, Goyang-Si, Gyeonggi-Do Korean address: ๊ฒฝ๊ธฐ ๊ณ ์์ ์ผ์ฐ๋๊ตฌ ํ๊ทน๋ก 20

Suwon Megabox
The last one on the list might be surprising but I will be talking about a Puppy Cinema! Yes, you heard right, there is such a thing as puppy cinema!ย
Located in Suwon not too far from both Seoul and Incheon, Megabox opened a new franchise that allows puppies inside smaller booths than regular cinemas, with adaptable sound so that you can enjoy the experience of being in the cinema with your pups, normally there is a reservation system so make sure to check out availability since itโs becoming more popular these days! Fares start at 36,000 KRW.
