Cafe lovers in Korea, there’s one cafe you should definitely check out! If you love rooftop, delicious dessert and drinks, and beautiful cafe interior in general, this is the place to go! I visited Dalkom cafe, located at Cheongyechon (a famous place, if you want to know more about this place, check out our post here), and I fell in love with it right away. You can visit this cafe and then take a brisk walk by the stream after. How wonderful is that? A perfect outing with friends and loved ones! So let’s check out this place!
Dal.kom cafe is one of the popular cafe branches in Korea. It was first established in 1997. The name, itself means ‘Sweet’ in Korean, and a playful German word combination of Danal (Dal) and Komm, which translates to ‘Come to Danal’. The name definitely has an inviting and friendly approach to it. Besides Dalkomm Cafe, the company also operates Danal Mobile Financial Service and Danal Entertainment.
In 2014, it opened its first branch abroad in Singapore and Malaysia. This cafe franchise has won numerous brand and customer choice awards ever since, and to enhance the customer experience, it launched its digital app in 2016. With increasing interest in IT development, the company decided to open its first robot cafe in 2018. The robot cafe is known as b;eat, and now has about 60 stores across Korea.
The brand has also appeared in numerous drama and movie PPL (product placement), such as The Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, and W Two Worlds.
Interior at Dalkom Cafe Cheongyechon Branch
You can order your drinks and food here. There is also an outdoor space, so you can take out your beverages outside (if the weather is nice!). Since Korea is known for its harsh winter months, I do not recommend sitting outside during November to February. Luckily, we went there in March, as the season began to change to spring.
This floor has a big window which gives a nice lighting to the whole floor.
Perfect Spot for Insta-Worthy Shots
Ever floor has a trendy decoration, which is perfect for taking pictures. My friend and I took a lot of insta worthy pictures at the rooftop floor! Check below for the results.
The cafe is quite close to the famous Cheonggyecheon stream. So you take a walk here after enjoying your beverages.
