Crash Landing On You Filming Locations in Korea – Part 2

Still can’t get over of the CLOY fever? If you have seen the part 1 of Crash Landing On You filming locations to visit in Korea, here is the continuation:

Red Ginseng Spa

If you want to have a relaxing experience in Korea, you should definitely try going to a jjimjilbang or sauna. One of Crash Landing On You filming locations that you can visit in Korea in the Red Ginseng Spa. In episodes 11 to 12 of the series, Ri Jeong-Hyeok’s (Hyun Bin) subordinates Pyo Chi-su (Yang Kyung-won), Park Kwang-beom (Lee Sin-young), Kim Ju-meok (Yoo Su-bin) and Geum Eun-dong (Tang Joon-sang) and Jung Man-bok (Kim Young-min) stay at Red GInseng Spa during their stay in Seoul. This spa is loacted at Paju in Gyeonggi-do. In Seoul, you can also have the same healing experience at Dragon Hill Spa.

Star City Seoul

Do you like the chemistry of Seo Dan (Seo Ji-hye) and Gu Seung-jung (Kim Jung-hyun) in the drama? Recreate one of their scenes at Star City Seoul. This restaurant appeared in episode 8 where the two meet up in North Korea. SInce it is originally located in Seoul, you can see the Lotte World Tower and Mall from this restaurant.

Location: 140 Gucheonmyeon-ro, Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea (서울 강동구 구천면로 140)

How to get there: Take Seoul Subway Line 5/ Line 8 and get off at Cheonho Station (천호역), Exit 2. Prepare to walk for about 10 minutes.

Taean Film Set

Of course, this list of Crash Landing On You filming locations would not be complete without including the Taean Film Set. This location appeared as the military village in the series where Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin) lives. The Taean Film Set (안면도태안리정혁집세트장) is exclusively created as a filming location of Crash Landing On You. Since the setting should be in North Korea, it is impossible to film there. From Seoul, it takes about 4 hours to go there using a public transportation. The entrance to the film set is free however, reports stated it has been taken down already. Let’s just hope that they recreate this village once tvN already has its own Kdrama themed studio such as MBC World and KBS Experience Hall in Seoul.

Tangeum Lake Rainbow Bridge

Another filming set for fans of Seo Dan and Gu Seung Joon’s chemistry is the Tangeum Lake Rainbow Bridge. This is where they filmed the scene that made the fans’ hearts flutter towards the ending of the series. This bridge is actually not located in North Korea but in Tangeum Lake, an artificial lake at Chungju Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea.

Location: Tapjeongan-gil, Jungangtap-myeon, Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do 27447, South Korea

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse

Moreover, the Wolfgang’s Steakhouse restaurant also appeared in the first episode of Crash Landing On You. The exterior of this restaurant is where Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) goes to have a dinner with one of her boyfriends, Cha Sang-u (Jung Kyoung-ho in a cameo). Wolfgang’s Steakhouse (울프강 스테이크하우스) is an American steak house chain that operates restaurants in America with branches in Korea, Hawaii and Japan. This restaurant is also a filming location of True Beauty.

How to get there: Take Bundang Line and get off at Apgujeongrodeo Station (압구정로데오역), Exit 4. Prepare to walk for about 5 minutes.

Woonsan (Yeouido Branch)

And lastly, the Yeouido branch of Woonsan restaurant is where Manager Oh (Yoon Sang-hoon) meets with Cho Cheol-gang (Oh Man-seok) and couple Yoon Se-hyeong (Park Hyoung-soo) and Ko Sang-A (Yoon Ji-min). In episode 12, they try to talk about their common goals of getting rid Jeong-hyeok and Ye-ri in their ways. This traditional Korean restaurant also appeared in several Korean dramas like Itaewon Class, Romance Is a Bonus Book, Encounter, SKY Castle, and many more.

How to get there: Take Seoul Subway Line 5 and get off at Yeouinaru Station (여의나루역]), Exit 1. Walk for about 15 minutes. Or you can also take Seoul Subway Line 9 and get off at National Assembly Station (국회의사당역), Exit 3. The prepare to walk for approximately 15 minutes.
