Since I arrived South Korea I discovered many habits and things Korean people do in which in my home country we would not do, or better saying, we are just not used to do. Talking about one of those, I found out one of the most common thing to do here is going to coffee shops to study and spend some nice time be it with friends or be it on your own. In my home country it was not a usual thing to do but now I am not only used to it but I also keep looking for different, nice, comfortable and cozy places to spend some time and study with my friends, my boyfriend and sometimes alone as well.
The Brunch Cafe
What is a Brunch Cafe?
For those who do not know what it means, a Brunch cafe is a place that will serve you food that is not too light as a breakfast but not too heavy as a whole lunch. I explain this because I found out about that not long ago. Since this is a really common thing in Korea, it might not be in your country just as it was not common in mine.
What is that coffee shop like?

This Cafe is extremely cozy and looks really cute. From the very first moment I saw the cafe from the outside I began to think โah, this was a good choice!โ. The ambient is very light and has big windows which helps especially during the day. The inside is filled with decorations in pastel colors, which make the ambient even more comfortable. There are a few plants around as well as some paintings. What most called my attention were the details that the owner made sure to be careful and delicate to put in there. Everywhere you look at makes you feel at home and gives the feeling that someone is taking care of you. It is cozy like a momโs hug. In this cafe there are also really good ambience music playing and some free books in case you want to read a little bit.

On the very entrance there is this area with three big tables and regular chairs. On the other side there is a smaller area that has two floor tables as well as a small balcony turned to the windows. It is really nice and you can sit on the cushions around the small tables or in front of the small balcony. I recommend staying in that area if you are interested, but do not forget to take off your shoes before entering the small floor table area. in Korea it is not respectful to enter home and such areas with your shoes on because it might bring a lot of dirt from the streets inside the house.
Is this cafe crowded?
The cafe is not a really crowded place which makes it more comfortable to concentrate at work or studies. There is also a lot of space as well considering is a small neighborhood brunch and coffee shop.
The Food
The Brunch Menu:
One of the nicest parts of this cafe is the variety of food and the reasonable price it has. The menu has a lot of different drinks and some good brunches. The menu varies, it changes depending on the station. Currently the food on the brunch menu are: ํจ๋ฐ ์คํ ์ดํฌ (Hamburger steak), ์๊ณ ๊ธฐ ํ๋๋(beef Panini), ๋ก๊ผด๋ผ ํผ์(arugula pizza), ์๊ทธ ๋ฒ ๋ค๋ํธ(Egg Benedict), ๋ฒ ๋ฒ ์ค (Bebes), ์ ์ (the standard) and the ํฌ๋ฌํ (Cruffle). I recommend you eat the ์๊ณ ๊ธฐ ํ๋๋(beef Panini) which is the one I ordered and it was incredibly tasty!
The Drinks Menu:
You will find many types of drinks but I truly enjoyed drinking the Chamomile tea and the Ice Americano. They were really good and the chamomile tea came in a sweet tea pot with a courtesy sweet potato snack.
Both the food and the drinks had such a good presentation that made me wish ordering more to see how it looks like, and of course to taste it as well, since what I ate there so far has not disappointed even one single bit.
How can I arrive there?
There are a few ways you can take to arrive in this cafe. To begin with it might be important to remember that this cafe is located in Nonsan. Since itโs a small city it is quite near a important way of transportation to get there: the train station. I will use the train station as the starting point reference okay?
By car or taxi:
By car it takes about 2 minutes. It is not a lot and if you want to take a taxi is also not going to be expensive. By taxi it might cost around โฉ3500.
Taking a bus:
This way will take a bit longer than by car but is still a good option. The approximate time to arrive by bus is 10 minutes and the available buses you might check on navigation apps. Some of the buses that go that direction are: 418, 808 and 401
Going by foot:
For those who prefer walking, it takes about 20 minutes departing from the station. I also recommend you go following a navigation app.
