Golden foliage scenery in Korea is very famous. Anyways, beside that romantic foliage scenery in autumn, South Korea is also famous with beautiful cherry blossom scenery in spring. Whenever spring comes, all of Korea, from the north to the south, is full of cherry blossom. During this time, there are so many visitors go traveling to admire the beauty of cherry flowers and Jinhae-gu, a district that has one of the most famous cherry blossom festival in South Korea, is one of the best choice.
Jinhae-gu is quite close to Busan city. Only two hours driving from Busan, Jinhae-gu _ a district in Changwon city in Gyeongsangnam-do, attracts at least two million visitors each year come to enjoy cherry blossoms in spring.

Visiting Jinhae from late March to April, you can see cherry flowers everywhere. It seems like only cherry trees on the road.
At Jinhae-gu, the two famous festivals destinations that are most visited are:
Gyeonghwa Station (๊ฒฝํ์ญ)
Gyeonghwa station is a small railway station in Jinhae-gu, Changwon city. This 800m long of cherry blossomsโs line is a famous attraction that you should not miss if you visit Jinhae in the spring.
In the spring at Gyeonghwa Station, during the blooming season, every time a train passes by, the petals will be blown by the wind and that creates a very romantic scene. Anyways, during festival, the head of train will stop at place and it is a hot check-in symbol during this time.

If you want to take a picture with this train, you may need to line up. If there are too many people lining up, letโs think about take a photo with the back of the train.

Yeojwacheon stream (์ฌ์ข์ฒ)
Yeojwacheon stream is a well-known spot for viewing cherry blossom in South Korea. The line of cherry trees on two side of the stream has 1,5 km long. On spring, the stream will be full covered by cherry flowers.
That beautiful scenery come with the artworks that was decorated on the stream make a very romantic scene.
Right next to the stream, next to the cherry tress lines are so many street food stalls that sell dakkochi (chicken skewers), ice cream, waffle, grilled skewers, grilled ribs, grilled pork, and sugar-soaked strawberries, and so on.

How to get there?
From the bus stop at Changwon bus terminal (the bus stop is at the opposite road of Changwon bus terminal), get the bus number 151 to Gyeonghwa station.
After admiring cherry blossom at Gyeonghwa station, you can take a bus from there to Yeojwacheon stream. During cherry blossom festival, visitors can take shuttle bus among festival destinations for free.
TIP
During festival season, there are so many visitors coming to Jinhae-gu to enjoy cherry blossom so that itโs hard to take a good photo. If you want to take photo without people, you should go there in the early morning before 7:30a.m.
