Jeonju Hanok Village has a multitude of cafes that line the streets, making it difficult to choose where to go. To help you decide, I will introduce you to Cafe You. Cafe You is a Hanok cafe tucked away from the main, crowded area of Jeonju Hanok Village. Therefore, it is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery with some coffee and cake — they even have beer!

Café You
Just like most shops in in the hanok village, Hanok Café You is hanok-style. It has spacious outdoor sitting area surrounding the café. The interior is also roomy and bright due its huge glass windows.

As per the theme of Jeonju Hanok Village, Cafe You is in the traditional hanok style. With a spacious interior, panoramic windows and outdoor seating area, Cafe You is the perfect setting for some hanok healing.
Hanok Healing
After an hour of navigating the crowded streets of Jeonju Hanok Village, my friends and I were happy to find a pretty cafe to rest in. In fact, we were looking specifically for a cafe that sold bubble tea, as we were craving it. Surprisingly, we passed by several cafes but none of them sold bubble tea. Finally, down a quiet street, we found Cafe You.

We managed to get a seat inside but as it was a hot day, there were many people there. Furthermore, the staff were extremely busy making drinks for the customers. However, they had a self-ordering kiosk so we could easily order and pay for our drinks without bothering them.
Our Drinks
Black Sugar Bubble Tea
I adore black sugar bubble tea, and anyone else with a sweet tooth — guilty! — will surely love it too. If sugary drinks can be sickly sweet for you, I recommend trying a different menu item.

Iced Strawberry Latte
A refreshing, sweet beverage that’s not as sweet as black sugar bubble tea. It’s also caffeine free! Great for kids too.

Honey Mango Beer
Okay, this one sounds like a bizarre combination but its actually on trend in Korea. At Cafe You, the mango and beer are not actually mixed together, but rather you eat the mango as an accompaniment to the beer.

My friend said the fusion of flavours was actually really good! Maybe I will order it next time…

My friends and I enjoyed our time and our drinks here. I especially liked the café’s large windows because it made the place feel more bright and welcoming. It was also nice to observe the scenery outside whilst escaping the hot weather.
