Famous for it’s incredible art lattes which have foam decorated with versions of art works like Van Gogh’s and Davinci’s Mona Lisa, C through cafe worths a visit.
It’s a little bit hard to find this cafe because it is located in the back alleyways between Gyeongridan and Itaewon.
There is only a small pink neon sign alluding to its presence. The cafe is small but it will impress you by the first step.
When you have a look at the menu you will see that it has pictures of all the amazing creations, so you know what you are ordering without having to refer back to instagram.
During the week you can purchase at the coffee and dessert type drinks and drawing coffees.
On weekends the artist Lee Kang Bin comes in and creates his fabulous art lattes.
C through cafe uses food colouring and small brushes spoons, stencils and tools to draw and the result is unbelievable.
Lee Kang calls this specific form of coffee art he invented, cream art.
A useful tip Lee kang’s works of arts takes him about an hour per cup, so if you are there you have to order your drink in advance to give him time to prepare it. A smart way is to order by text him on instagram!
These special coffees vary in price, depending on the time they take and by the level of difficulty to be created and they are between 12.000 to 30.000 won per cup!
We tried an amazing cherry blossom latte and another of its famous coffees called scotchno.
This coffee is so pretty because of the look of overflowing style and served with an hourglass with the advice to start drinking before time counting down.
Scotchno tastes sweet and on the top is infused with melted butterscotch candies. It is same tasteful as beautiful to take an Instagram picture.
