BTS Jungkook’s Improv Viral Live Breaks His Own Record

BTS’ youngest member Jungkook returned on Weverse with a surprise live broadcast on February 2nd (KST) after not being active on social media for several weeks.

Fans got a notification, which read that a live named “잘 지내셨습니까” (How have you been?). When ARMY opened it, they discovered Jungkook; with his tattoos and long hair. No wonder the live quickly became viral on Twitter with whopping 16.3 million people joining in. With this broadcast, Jungkook broke his own record for the most viewed real-time individual live on Weverse. He achieved his previous record with his birthday live stream in September 2022.

During the broadcast, the artist revealed that he did not not get permission from HYBE before starting. He missed ARMY a lot, so he just turned the live on spontaneously to communicate with fans.

After the first live ended 1 hour 53 minutes later, Jungkook quickly started another one called “ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ” (hahahahahahahaha), which lasted another 1 hour 37 minutes.

Jungkook’s little online home concert became Twitter’s real-time trend in 138 countries around the world. Keywords ‘Jeon Jungkook’, ‘Jungkook and Bam’, ‘Jungkook’, ‘We love you Jungkook’, ‘Thank you Jungkook’, and ‘Jungkook came home’ were trending on Twitter.

The NIKE shirt the artist was wearing and the beer mug that was present in his live stream quickly sold out.

Jungkook cuddling with his dobermann, Bam, melted ARMY’s hearts even further. During both lives, JK sang more than 30 songs at the request of fans, including songs from Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Crush, J-hope, Seventeen, RM, TXT, Taeyang, and others.
