Sillim is an underrated neighborhood in Seoul. It is located on the subway line number 2 near Seoul National University. Sillim is a very busy area with a lot to do. The cost of housing around the station is relatively cheap compared to other places along subway line number 2. Line two is undeniably Seoulโs busiest line. It goes in a circle through the city, connecting the itโs most prominent business districts and universities. As a result, the district is mainly residential, housing office workers and young businessmen who are trying to survive on a budget. Naturally, many Sillim cafes are both delicious and cheap!
Floresta 229
Floresta229 is one of my favorite coffee shops in Sillim, not only because of their delicious drinks, but also because of their gorgeous interior. For me Floresta229 is the best place among all the Sillim cafes to buy a warm latte and spend hours studying.

I give Floresta229โs dolce latte a 4 out of 5. I thought it was super good! The ideal drink for the cold weather.

Daldaeoyo
Daldaeyo is another coffee shop in Sillim where I enjoy studying. Not only are the drinks delicious, but there is also a variety of treats to pick from. Their famous tiramisu and Watermelon Bar Ade are two of my favorites. Their menus are reasonably priced, with everything costing less than 10,000 won.

I give Daldaeoyo a 3 out of 5. I really liked their tiramisu, however I thought their watermelon bar ade was a little too sweet. Regardless, it is a very cozy place to study and reasonable for the price. Plus, the place is very instagramable.

Valuto Coffee
Valuto has two branches, as far as Iโm aware. One in Sillim, which was the one I went to. The store had a very warm and friendly vibe. Their menu also stands out among other coffee shops in the area. While the other two cafes mentioned above are more playful and sweet. This place is more rustic and down-to-earth. My favorite drink they offer is the cacao chocolate latte which was only 4,800 won. I think itโs the best place in Sillim to come with a friend and chat.

I would give Valuto Coffee a 5 out of 5, mainly for their cacao chocolate latte. I thought it was very creative and tasty.
