Are you ready for warm sunshine and fresh air? Although many people seem to be suffering from hay fever this year, it is undeniable that this season is the best to go for a picnic in Daejeon. I love spending afternoons with friends under the shade of a tree, listening to stories about my friends’ daily lives. As simple as that sounds, it is my happy place. Personally, I think everyone should give hanging out with friends at a summer picnic in Daejeon a try. So, for Daejeon ex-pats, this article will disclose some spectacular spots for a cozy picnic with friends.
This place is spacious and it is not only famous for its breath-taking natural views, but it is also famous for various family activities such as riding a bike and picnicking. As you walk down the street, various pretty flowers stick out as if they are celebrating the coming of spring.

With a rented bicycle, you can go around Daedunsan park, cherish the beauty of flowers in Hanbat arboretum, go on a picnic, and enjoy exotic sights at tropical botanical gardens.

UAM Historical Park
UAM Historical Park was a place where Song Si-yeol, a great Confucian scholar in Joseon Dynasty, lived. There are attractions in the park, such as Jangpangak, Relics Hall, and Seowon that were built from 1991 to 1997. And, it was designated as a historic park on April 17th, 1998. Nowadays, it is a park that is largely loved by many people throughout the four seasons. It is worth a visit as it is not only a great park but also a fun place to learn about local history.
The upper part of UAM Historic Park is a road with traditional Korean-style tiles and stone-built roads. Moreover, it is surrounded by bamboo forests. It presents an ethereal, unreal feeling that is sure to enchant anyone.
